Seonghwa's POV

October 8, 2020

10:00 AM

I was starting to worry. It had been over 12 hours and Ashley still was not up.

Whatever Hongjoong used must have been strong.

I sighed and checked my watch. The hours ticked by so slow when the only thoughts occupying your mind are-

My daydreams were cut short by the panicked breathing of the blonde girl that laid in my bed. I quickly went to meet her, "Morning. Had a long slumber princess."

She seemed off put by my cockiness. She scoffed and looked me up and down.

"First a kiss and now kidnapping? No wonder you are a fucking criminal."

I just rolled my eyes, "You should be thanking me. I saved your life. Hongjoong had you in his grasp. If it were not for me you would be dead in a warehouse or who knows what else. Maybe even his new pet."

That must have thrown her off . She went abnormally quiet.

"Hey now. What happened to the chatty girl I kissed in the alley?" I tried to lighten the mood.

She cracked a small smile, letting out a pitiful laugh.

I could not help but smile as well, "Get changed when you feel like it. I have breakfast prepared for you. I also feel as though I have some explaining to do."

She nodded as I left, giving her the privacy she needed.

Ashley's POV

He really saved me?

What was this guys deal? He made out with me and now I was sitting in his bed?

There was no way this was real.

As I got changed, I pondered the long list of questions I had.

Who was he? Why was he so familiar? Had I been here before?

Why was he trying so hard to protect me?

After I had gotten changed I went out to meet him at his dining room table. His place was nice, spacious, and well lit. The kitchen was just the right size for one person.

Yet the air felt stale.

It didn't feel like a home. It felt like a temporary shelter.

No decorations of family photos, nothing. Just shitty paintings you could get off of Amazon.

I took a seat as he brought out some fresh bacon and eggs.

Now was the time for answers.

Seonghwa's POV

As I sat at the table, I knew I had some explaining to do. She had that confused look in her eyes.

I passed her a plate and did my best to serve her. I wanted to make her feel safe and assure her I meant no harm.

"Park Seong Hwa. That's my name. I should have said so sooner but I did not think we would get this far so quickly."

She just nodded, staring at me blankly. I guess that was not enough for her.

I sighed, breaking the eye contact, "I know you have questions. I cannot answer all of them, but I can do my best."

She looked slightly more interested in our conversation. Her body less tense than before.

She took a deep breath, our eyes meeting again.

"We've met before." She stated.

I froze, looking down, "Yes, at the incident in America."

"No, before that."

Shit. How did she know?
