-Clay pov-

I turn my head just to find George whipped out his phone out and started recording me making my way up to the fat calico that was peacefully laying in the sun. Wow, his smile is gorgeous "Be careful! Don't want him to actually bite your hand off!" George called out with a smile. "Aww, thanks for caring about me!" My reply got him to look away. Was that a hint of embarrassment? Clay reached his hand towards the cat to give him a pat on the head, and the reaction he got was a low growl and a burning sensation on his right finger, which turned out to be a scratch that immediately started bleeding. "Oh, yikes!" He stood up and went back to the table, the cat looking pleased that he is gone. "He did almost bite your hand off! Let me go ask for a band-aid at the counter, they should have at least one somewhere?" Clay cold see the worried look on Georges face was real, even though it was just a tiny scratch. "No George it's fine, really. It's just a scratch, for goodness sake." Clay rumbled. "I insist!" And with that George got up and walked up to the front counter.

And so they sat there, a purple band-aid on Clay's finger, drinking their cappuccinos in a comfortable silence, watching the cats frolic around the enclosure. "So, wanna continue our game? Except maybe, truth or truth this time?" Clay asked hopefully. "Sure. I guess there is no point in asking anymore- 'truth or truth?' so... what is your favourite color?" The tall boy thought of a question quickly "Simple, blue. Well, out of the colors I can see, anyway. I'm color blind, by the way." "Oh that must suck! Do you ever wander what the world would like, colorful?" "Of course I do. But I feel like I'm not missing much, it's just color after all." George looked down and smiled a sad, little smile. My time to shine. It's now or never. Clay reached out his hand to lift up the brunette's chin so that he was looking into his eyes. By the expression on Georges face Clay could tell he was shocked, but he didn't pull away. "You're right, you aren't missing much. No need to be sad." Clay smiled at the short boy, watching the worried look melt away into calmness. He sighed. I wish this moment could last forever.

I can feel the warmth of his hand radiating on to my face. The butterflies in my stomach are WILDING right now. It feels like all time has stopped. Georges chin dropped slowly as Clay retreated his hand. "Hungry?" Asked the dirty-blonde haired boy casually. "Mhm. Lets go get food" So they both walked up to the counter to order a couple of sandwiches.

They say 'time flies when you're having fun' which in this case, is true. Clay and George talked and ate and snuggled cats until the sun started going down, which finally made them realize how late it was. "Wow, who would have thought that it's already 8:30pm? Well George, I guess I'll see you later, today was a lot of fun though." The tall boy stated. "Wanna hang out again? Maybe Sunday if you're not busy." I could see Clay's face light up when I asked. "Sure, see you then! I'll text you tomorrow to agree where. Bye." He gave a small wave, and with that Clay made his way to the counter to pay while George gathered his things and walked out in the direction towards his car. He thought about how Clay beamed down on him. I could practically feel the warmth his smile bought to the world. George smiled and drove off.
