Clay

Want me to pick you up? I mean we are neighbors so it would be pretty easy lol.

George

Sure, I'll be ready in 10.

Clay

Ok great. And remember- I can pay.

George

But you payed last time! Come on I can pay!

Clay

Nope. I'm paying :)

George

UgH fInE

So he's paying. AGAIN. I really wouldn't mind if he made me pay! George picked out a yellow hoodie, some jeans, and a pair of finger-less gloves. Pretty casual outfit for the movies. I wonder what we're gonna watch?

-Time skip-

"Theater number 8" The girl smiles at Clay. "Ok, thanks." He replies as they start walking away towards theater 8. "Wait." The girl tugs on Clay's sleeve, stopping him from going any further. He turned around. "Yes?" Clay raises his eyebrow "Here, take this." She winks as she hands him a paper with her name and number scribbled on it. George felt a pang of jealousy hit him. Why am I jealous? But also how does she have the bravery to just give him her number like that! He stopped crunching on the popcorn in the large popcorn bucket as he looked up at the tall, dirty-blonde haired boy. The nerve. George thought sadly. Clay gave a small nod as he took the paper. George felt his heart drop. They walked off. but as they entered the movie theater Clay crumpled up the paper and threw it in the bin outside the entrance, smiling at George as he did so. George was so busy starring at Clay in shock that he didn't have time to read the name above the theater entrance. The Shining.

-Clay pov-

As they walked into the theater, Clay noticed the eerie atmosphere of the place, but that girl was still on his mind. That girl just really up and gave me her number? The look of pure joy and shock on Georges face as I threw out the paper was so cute though. Clay looked at the short brunette boy walking down the isle of people, looking for their seats. He was holding the big tub of popcorn they ordered to share, and Clay was holding the drinks. Anyways, lets not let that girl ruin our night. Clay smiled as George waved him over while patting the seat next to him. "I found our seats!" He whisper shouted through mouthfuls of popcorn. Clay plopped down next to him. "You gotta slow down your eating pace, or else the whole tub of popcorn will be gone before the movie starts." George suppressed laughter, and Clay let out a quite wheeze. "Ok ok. But I gotta ask, what movie are we watching?" Oh boy this is gonna be fun. "You didn't see the name? Ok, well, are you a fan of scary movies?" Clay smiled at George. "Are you kidding? I have never been able to watch a scary movie alone. I mean, I'm not alone now, but still!" George took out his rage by whisper shouting at Clay. "How scary is the movie, out of 10?" George pouted, "Well, around a 9 or so, I've heard from others who have watched it, but I myself have never watched The Shining." Clay watched out of the corner of his eye to see his reaction. Georges expression melted from anger to fear. "Are we actually watching The Shining?!" George took one tiny handful of popcorn and gulped it down. If everything goes according to my little, stupid plan, we're going to have a great time together.

-George pov-

I can't believe Clay actually took me to see The Shining without telling me! Ugh, welp, no turning back now. George thought as the music started playing. All the whispering was immediately cut. Maybe I'm being too dramatic. But I do hate scary movies. But what if it's not that bad? It will be, he said its a 9 out of 10 on the scary meter. Oh whatever! It's not like I'm gonna run out of a movie theater in the middle of a movie. Am I?
