William had to make sure nothing went wrong on the plan, but he did not expect to encounter the famous female Detective on the ship.

Although this confuses him.

He had heard that the Holmes family was middle class yet the daughter was able to afford a small mansion for her and her landlady. She must've been either adopted from a noble family, or she had another job that paid handsomely.

She seemed dignified enough to keep her self respect rather than fool around.

He heard she was generous enough to be liked by the poor. She even gave large amounts of money to them.

Ah this was no time for such things, he had a person to place for a murder.

Shernette certainly did not expect for Lord Enders to be on the stage stabbing a man. People screamed, shouting he was a murderer, and he attempted to get away, only to end up falling to his death in the ocean.

Shernette hoped that the ship would get to shore quickly and because of the incident, everyone spent the rest of the cruise in their cabins, but Shernette took the opportunity to look out into the ocean from her balcony.

"I can see you are eager to head back home, Miss Holmes."

Oh yeah, apparently Moriarty decided to invite himself over.

"If only. Once my brother finds out, he's gonna want to move into my place just to make sure I don't get harmed. He's been like that since mother's death." Shernette shrugged.

"Well, after all this, you can't really blame him." William offered some water since Shernette did not like champagne.

"Once I get back home, I plan to spend the next three days alone just to wind down."

"No gentleman callers?"

"HA! My brother or landlady usually chase them off. Or I set Victor on them."

"Victor? Is he a pet of yours?"

"He's a barn owl. I really love owls. I found him two years ago when he was injured by poachers on a smuggling ship. After I nursed him to health, I tried to bring him back to the wild, but he kept coming back. He stayed around since." Shernette smiled. "Before Victor, I had a snowy owl named Hedwig. I grew up with her, but she died before I turned 18. I still miss her at times."

"My apologies if I brought up sad memories then." William said.

"It's alright. Though I never expected Enders to end up like that. What do you make of it?"

".....I could say that Enders was attempting to get away with something just because he was a noble. Though Fate was not kind from what I've seen." William said as Shernette sat down on a couch feeling tired.

"Sorry, I'm getting tired, so I'm gonna retire early. We should be in England tomorrow afternoon."

"Of course. Although," William said as he leaned closer to her face. "I would have liked to talk a little longer. To be honest, I found a new interest with you."

Shernette knew what that meant. He wanted to find out everything about her, so he would be in her life more often.

Great.......

Even after he left she could still feel his eyes on her.

Well aside from his original mission, he found a new but interesting snag in his plans.

It had been two days since the Noahtic incident but he was looking at a particular article.

The sword that was for auction on the ship was found to be fake, leading to a scandal.

But William thought of something. The jeweler that examined the sword confirmed that the sword was real, and even Albert said the jewels were authentic. Now people find its fake?

Someone must've switched it with a convincing replica long enough until they found out at the last minute.

The police said there were no other prints or tampering of the case holding the sword and it was not out of security's sight.

A perfect crime.

But who could have pulled it off flawlessly?
