Shernette had pretty much nothing to do, considering this was her day off.

But it was not like she had anything else to do considering her hidden wealth.

For the past few years, she took up cases that involved murder and the like. Despite her being a woman, she was respected for her help towards the common folk.

Especially to children.

The past week was a busy one for her.  She had been putting her multitude of fortunes to use for the poor. Word had risen of a young lady buying up entire shops and marketplaces and giving the contents or even money to the poor.

At the moment, the young woman sensed sinister thoughts in the mind of a sophisticated male.
With her legimancy, she found he was The Earl of Arglton. And he suddenly decided to prey upon a child.

Because youth is a fleeting thing.

'Might as well.' Shernette thought as she found the Earl's carriage and found a way to tamper it by placing a spell on the horses.

The next morning's paper provided an interesting article to a blonde male.

"Well, it seems the Earl of Arglton and his coachman were both found dead after an unfortunate accident with their carriage. It turns out he was attempting to get away with child murder, but someone got the boy away from him. The son said that he never saw their face, they had a mask on. He couldn't tell if they were male or female either." He said with scarlet eyes filled with interest.

"You think it was no accident?" A blonde butler asked.

"It could've though the police said there was no evidence of being a murder or anything of the kind. Still...it seems too peculiar.

Almost the Perfect Crime."

I decided to put a different twist on the Earl's Crime, though this time Shernette will be leading Moriarty on a chase.
