Gryffindor Hufflepuff Ravenclaw...SLYTHERIN!
When they got off the train they were met with a half-giant by the name of Hagrid who seemed to know Harry already, soon enough they all got into boats to go aground Hogwarts before going inside.
Jocelyn noticed Minnie was there and she smiled at the stern women, who gave her a small smile that only she noticed. Minnie went on to talk about Hogwarts and the different house, Slytherin, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw. Jocelyn definitely thought she would either be in Slytherin or Hufflepuff.
While they were waiting Jocelyn decided to talk to Theo who was standing next to her. "How do they sort us? Do you know Theo?" She asked him, she never been to a school before so she doesn't really know much about anything, they do in schools. "Um I think my dad said something about a sorting hat" she nodded still nervous, were they gonna get sorted in front of everyone else? She was used to being in the spotlight but this was different she didn't have her family with her like she usually did.
Somehow feeling her nervousness Harry came up to the girl and Held her hand giving her a reassuring smile. Jocelyn smiled back at her younger twin brother.
That is until Draco opened his mouth and started to drawl " so the rumors are true famous Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts" He said but Harry was staring at Vincent and Gregory instead which Draco noticed " This is Crabbe and Goyle and I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy" this made Ron snicker a little yet he tried to cover it with a cough but everyone noticed Jocelyn gave Ron a look while Draco glared at him.
"Think my name is funny do you? No need to ask yours red hair and hand me down robes you must be a Weasley." This made Ron look down with a ashamed look which made Jocelyn feel bad, she glared at the blonde boy " Draco" she said in a warning tone which made him glance over at his new best friend, but he didn't back down.
" you don't want to hang out with the wrong sorts Pottah I can help you there" he said as he held his hand out for a handshake "I think I can tell who the wrong sort are for myself thanks" Harry said with a sassy look, this made Jocelyn walk over to Draco and grab his hand pulling him toward Theo and the others, so he didn't embarrass himself more. She gave Ron and Harry a apologetic look, mouthing "Sorry" to them which they both noticed, however they were kinda confused on why she stopped Draco like that but nodded anyway giving her small smiles.
" why. did. you. say. that!" She said each word while hitting him making him whine as she did, Jocelyn felt like she was talking to Luther when he made stupid comments to Diego. "I'm sorry!" He said back with a slight whine in his voice that made his friend laugh. Well except for Pansy who was trying to get the red head to stop hitting her precious Dracy-poo.
Soon enough Minnie came back and walked them to the great hall where there was a old hat on a stool....ew.
Jocelyn didn't really pay much mind to anything that was being said or the song the hat was singing she was more worried about having to put the hat on. It was ugly and probably had lice for all she knew, it kinda made her feel like if she put it on her hair would fall out. But soon enough she started to think about other things like her family she missed all of them and the stupid things they did. She especially missed Klaus who probably would have actually said what she was thinking about the hat out loud which would probably get him in trouble but he wouldn't care.
As Names were called Jocelyn started to talk to Daphne who was standing in front of her until Daphne was called and got Slytherin soon enough Draco and Theo were called they both got Slytherin as well, then Pansy was called she got Slytherin also, then it was Harry's turn as he walked up there Jocelyn gave him a smile and a thumbs up which he seemed to appreciate. He was there for quite some time until he got Gryffindor, she clapped and cheered for her brother until her name was called. As she walked up to the stool she heard people whispering and as she sat down she saw Harry doing the same thing she did which she smiled at before the hat was put on her head.
"Ah yes the girl who lived, let's see, wow your a superhero you can probably work well in Gryffindor very courageous indeed but you don't seem to value that as much as your Brother and Parents" this made Jocelyn surprised her parents were in Gryffindor? "Yes they were, they were very great Gryffindors too. You can most likely work well in Ravenclaw but I don't think that would be the best house for you, Hufflepuff is a great match you are very loyal and just but I think you will work the best in Slytherin you seem very Ambitious, I see you really like pranks, and you used to sneak out of the house all the time, yes I know exactly where to put you!"
"SLYTHERIN!"
The table that her new friends were at with all the green Clapped and cheered loudly saying things like...
"We got Potter!" "Suck it Gryffindor!" Or even " That's my best friend!" You can tell who said that one.
She looked over at her brother and friends in Gryffindor who all smiled at her which made her relieved that they weren't mad she was in the 'evil' house. She walked over and sat next to Draco while lots of the Slytherins started to shake her hand telling her good job and stuff.
They listened to the rest of the sorting, Blaise was the last one also getting into Slytherin as well. Soon enough Dumbledore made a speech about nonsense really, this made Jocelyn weirded out, she grew up in a house with a eccentric billionaire who used facts and spoke like he can out of a biography... while Dumbledore was talking like dr. Seuss.
"Is he okay?" The girl asked one of the older students who introduced himself as Marcus Flint, he was the quidditch captain. "No the old man is absolutely mad I don't really know why he is headmaster" Marcus said with a slight sneer. Which made Jocelyn kinda laugh he seemed mad or at least crazier then Reginald was.
Jocelyn soon noticed a professor was staring at her with a unreadable expression, he had black hair that looked greased and a hook nose. " how about that professor who's he?" She asked which made Adrian Pucey another older student answer "that's Professor Snape, he's the head of the house, you'll love him he's great" the boy said with a slight smile at the younger girl he found adorable. She smiled back at the boy before she kept eating and talking to everyone around her... this didn't seem as bad as she thought it would be.
Soon enough once the feast was over the prefects were taking the first years to the common room in the dungeons. Which Jocelyn found kinda suckish why did they have to be in the dungeons where it is cold and dark but Jocelyn didn't mind that much once she saw that they can see the whole black lake in the common room. It actually reminded her a lot of home, it was gloomy looking but something about it seemed homey.
"Alright everyone to give you a run down the Common room is one of the biggest ones in Hogwarts, which means we have a lot more dormitories then others, each will have 3 to 4 kids in each, girls are to the right, boys are to the left. We have a potion room if you need anything from hair potions to sleeping potions it will be there, so you may go now your names should be on the doors, you can do what ever you want with the dorms. This place is gonna be you home. We are your Family for these next 7years. If you need anything you can ask anyone older students or Professor Snape." The Prefect Tracey Davis said.
Jocelyn, Daphne and Pansy were put together and as they looked around the dorm they picked their beds and started to unpack before they fell asleep.
