Sirius swiped an angry hand across his face to wipe the tears that had started to form. He slammed every door that was in his way, walking quicker than James would have been able to keep up with. "Moony!" He gasped finally, falling through the dorm doorway.

Remus was up in a second, slipping an arm around Sirius and pulling him close, holding the back of his neck. "I'm here," he soothed, pressing his lips to Sirius' hair as he felt warm droplets fall onto his shirt. "You'll be ok, I got you," James came tumbling through the doorway, breathless and bright red, his entire posture relaxing when he saw Sirius encased in Remus' arms. "He's ok," Remus said lowly, and James clapped him on the shoulder and grinned. "Good man, Moony." He shut the door quietly behind him.

"What happened, baby?" Sirius didn't say anything, just pulled away and delved in his pocket. His fingers came out clutching a tiny piece of tapestry.

Remus watched as Sirius started to crumple again, sinking to his knees with the fabric bundled in his hands. He slid down the wall next to him, pulling his boy close again. Sirius let out a sob into Remus' jumper, wrapping his arms around him. "I won't let anything happen to you. Never," Remus pressed another kiss to Sirius' head. "We'll be ok."
