Dean would do anything for his family. When Sam dies (the first time) he makes a deal with a crossroad demon to bring sam back and for his soul and gets one year to live. The year went by and dean was killed by a hellhound.After being stuck in hell for 40 years with is a four months in real time, Dean is pulled for the pit by a angel called Castiel. Dean is told by this angel that he is a servant of The Lord and that Lucifer is going to be set free and only Dean can stop him. He then finds out tha he is Michaels (the archangel that put Lucifer in hell) vessel .They found ways to kill the devil but they didn't work but Sam is lucifers vessel so Sam says "yes" to get lucifer back in his cage .Because Sam is dead , Dean started a normal life with his girlfriend and her son until Sam shows up and surprising dean when he tells him that he's been alive the hole time and that when he came back so did there grandfather Samuel Campbell (there mothers father). Deans girlfriend can tell Dean needs to go back to hunting with Sam. I love dean and the way he would do anything for Sam and does let anyone get killed but he's and sams relationship causes bumps in the road .
