Casitel who is normally called Cass by Dean and Sam and always had his well known coat on is a Angel of The Lord that was sent to sort of guide Dean . Cass rebelled for Dean and Saved Sam and Deans life many times...
At one point Cass became God but died and killed many angels . Cass is like a brother to the Winchesters. He'd do anything to protect them... But Cass does play favourites and we notice that's he well prefers dean. (Well who doesn't?) . Cass use to follow god and his orders but learns that it's better to go your own way. He becomes human for awhile because he loses his grace and then learns human emotions but becomes an angel again when he gets his grace back.
