Everyone started to scatter away from the door in a soul-crushing panic. They all seemed to back up to the left side of the wall. Creating an enormous gap between the crowd and the door. My head whipped towards the back of the room where Mia and Ignes were standing right behind Red. How he got over the bar so fast in order to use his body to protect them, I had no idea. It appears that he was not the only one protecting females around the bar, but all the males were. Making sure all females in the tavern were behind them tucked away from the threat.

I was about to make my way to Ignes and Mia, but most of the band pushed me backward. Almost causing me to fall backward as they formed a circle around me. All of them were snarling toward the door. An immediate smell of bitterness reeked throughout the tavern so prominently that it almost made me want to vomit. I blinked a couple of times, trying to regain my focus to where all the males in the tavern seemed to be threatened. Unsheathing my Illyrian dagger from my thigh rather quickly.

"No need for the hostility, just a drink would be fine," a tall smirking male said, by the door. His arms were crossed lazily as he leaned on the door frame. With two others behind him smirking at the reaction they imposed with their presence. Red puffed out his chest, trying to appear as menacing as possible while stepping away from Ignes and Mia. Letting another random male push them behind him. For once, I thank god that they were so protective of them since I was in a position where I couldn't do anything.

Red walked across the now empty dance floor, the wood creaking beneath his feet. Standing in front of the males who bared their teeth at him. Everyone's eyes fixed upon Red as he did. Each person was equally nervous as I was.

"Your kind is not welcome here," Red said defensively, not letting his fear show. "Now leave, none of us want you lingering about."

The main male looked down at Red giving him a smile showing his sharp fangs. His pale skin gives him a rather ghostly look about him. Must be from all that time inside the mountain away from the sun. I've never seen someone drained so dreadfully in color. He stepped forward into the light closer to Red, but he did not cower away. Only stood his ground, eyeing him. The male was in complete armor, head to toe in Night court black. Dark Bringers. Just like the other two still hanging around the door patiently waiting. The one on the left even looked like he was checking his nails without a single care.

"I wasn't asking for permission," the male snarled, quickly grabbing hold of Red's collar without much effort. Tossing him across the room towards the group of people like some used toy. Red crashed in front of a group of males that were protecting other females. A strangled sound came out from my throat as he grunted in deep pain. He did not move an inch from the solid wooden ground. The only thing you could hear was his muffled groaning. No one moved; they didn't even breathe as the male spun around to look at everyone.

"Anyone else?" He asks, flashing a devilish smile towards his companions as they laughed. Which only made my mouth go dry, leading my body to hum in response.

It took another moment of silence for someone to move. They were rushing towards Red's aid, pushing through the crowd of males that protected them. I recognized her magenta-colored dress first before Ignes face came into view. She kneeled next to Red, her face full of fury towards the Dark Bringer. Letting her hand glow to Red's temple as she examined him. The male's attention immediately went to her, curious of the light she possessed. Almost like he has never seen it before.

He took one step towards her, intrigued at what she was doing. And before he could take another, I pushed my way through the protective barrier the band formed. Letting my steps create a large creaking sound as everyone turned towards me. To the point that it caught the Dark Bringer's attention as he spun around. Only to have my dagger pointed at his neck.
