'So,' Persephone replied, her tone flat as she flipped a page of the book she got from Mort for her birthday. 'You simply expect me to willingly drop all my plans for the day to watch the two children Ms.Mary wished you to watch to simply,' She paused, looking up from the small print on the pages, her smile wide. 'Spread your legs like the pathetic whore you are? Tell me,sweetheart,' She purred, the mixture of serpent language and her British accent sending shivers down the older girls spine;it was pure seduction. 'Who is it this week? Caleb? Jack? Or was it the older sod who waved at you earlier this week? Is so,you sure do work fast.'
'-It isn't! Please,Persephone! I'll do absolutely anything.' The blond begged, her dull brown eyes practically tearful.
Persephone flipped her page absentmindedly. Mort told her that the world her father and mother hailed from, keeping their words were intertwined by a bond;if one would break it something tragic would occur. Yes,she decided, closing defense against the dark arts, she practically liked the idea of a bonded promise;if the older girl breaks it she'll kill her. 'Okay,I'll do it.' She said, getting up from her comfortable bed as she walked a circle around the blond.
'Thank you! Thank you so much,Persephone!'
'Oh sweetheart, you shouldn't thank me yet. In turn of doing this task I want you to promise me you'll do whatever,no matter the task I assign you in the near future. If not,' she trailed off, pausing as she looked the blond in her eyes.
'Nono,I'll do whatever you want,I promise,Persephone!' The foolish girl said, excitedly, almost hugging the smaller child, but stopping when said child squinted her eyes. 'I'll see you later,Persephone!' The blond girl said, practically bouncing off of the walls as she left the small room, paying no mind to the shark like smile the raven haired child proudly wore.
Sighing,Persephone waved her hand as the door that the blond left open;intentionally or not she didn't know nor care close. 'Truly, what an annoyance.' She hissed, pinching the bridge of her nose as she walked over to the locked chest full of her clothing;quickly throwing a dark blue dress on,her magic doing her hair into a fish braid updo.
'Little Raven,I fear you'll harm the little ones if you watched over them.' Mort said,as he sat on the child's bed,his hazel eyes holding mirth as his daughter threw a glare in his direction.
'Well,it's a good thing I didn't ask for your opinion.' Persephone sneered, placing a Bobby pin in her hair to hold the small curl that refused to stay in its place. 'Besides, this is a good learning experience. If I ever have children it'll be good to know how to take care of them without killing them unintentionally. This,' she paused, turning to face the lazy entity she called father. 'Will be good practice. If I accidentally kill them then I'll know what not to do next time. Besides,it's not like I'll purposely kill the children,I'm not a monster,ya know.'
Chucking,Mort fondly rolled his eyes. 'The list you keep underneath your bed would say otherwise, darling.'
Shrugging, nonchalantly,Persephone quickly hugged Mort, walking out the small room before she shouted, 'Every last one of them deserved what I gave them.' Before the door closed behind her.
The child hopped the last two steps of the loud stairs before she quickly, but swiftly headed towards the nursery, where two small babes were awake and screaming to bed fed. The twins were quickly content when Persephone magicked two bottles into existence;each girl greedily sucking the bottles contents.
Persephone curiously looked at the small babes. When she did the little magic she felt two pressures seemingly reaching out towards her,a flood of warmth quickly spreading through her entire being;her magic happily humming, as it seemed to do its own thing;golden, fairy dust, like horses and flowers appeared into existence above the children;their gleeful laughs caused her heart to thump wildly against her chest.
Without hesitation,Persephone quickly picked one of the infants up,her eyes widening as she smiled;the little girls had magic.
