Chapter 4

Back to school. Ugh... I checked my phone and saw a message from Matt.

Matt:
Good morning,  wanna walk with me to school?

Me:
You sure?

Matt:
Yes, I wanna walk with you.

Me:
Okay. Give me 10-15 minutes.

Matt:
Alright

I got out of bed and took a shower.  Once I got out I put on some black high wasted shorts and a black shirt. With my white vans. I put on a white sweater and didn't zip it up. I did my makeup and grabbed my phone and bag. I walked down stairs and walked outside. Omg...

Me: this is not a thing.

I saw Matt with some black pants and shirt with his white vans and a white sweater.  I'll promise you something,  we didn't plan this.

Matt: um, okay. Just to make sure,  we didn't plan this, right?

Me: we did not plan this.

I locked the door and me an Matt started to walk to school.

Matt's POV

I was happy that me and Lexi were friends again. I missed hanging with her so much. When I said I didn't wanted to lose her, I meant that. I have liked her ever since we met.  And, I still like her.

Me: hey, do you want to come with me to the skate park? Just me and you.

Lexi: sure I'll come with you.

I nodded and we kept walking. We were about halfway to school and that's when we saw Cameron, and the rest.

Cam: Why are you hanging out with her?

Nash: yeah, why are you

Me: because I can, I'm her friend now.

Nash: Alright then, whatever.

Taylor: remember your beating after school.

Me: she is not going. Never again.

Taylor: whatever, we will get her.

We walked away .

Once we got to school I walked Lexi to her locker.

Lexi: hey, thanks for standing up for me back there. I really appreciate it. So, I'll see you later?

Me: your welcome, and I'll stand up for you anytime, oh and also yeah. I'll see you later. I'll meet you here at your locker.

She hugged me. It felt good hugging her. I missed her sweet hugs. I hugged back.  We separated and I walked to my locker.

Aaron: Matt! What was that about?!?

Me: what was what about?

Jack G: Matthew, don't play dumb with us. You now what were taking about.

Me: I was hanging out with Lexi because I'm done with you! She was my friend before Nash ruined it. Just because he wanted to get her back for what she did! Dude she is a girl! He shouldn't be beating her up, Monday through Friday.  That's messed the fuck up! Just leave me and her alone for now on, till you learn how to treat a girl.

Nash: don't blame it on me! You know what she did! And I bet you would have done the same!

Me: I wouldn't do the same! because,  I'm smart enough to now to tell her what she did! You one the other hand, well, you aren't very smart!

I slamed my locked and walked right passed them.  I was done with there shit. I could feel my anger building up inside me.

* skips to end of school day*

I walked to Lexi's locker like I said I would.    I could see her walk toward it after her class ended.

Me: ready?

Lexi: yup, let me just get my books from my locker.

That's what she did, she opened her locker and got her books.  She closed it and we walked out of school.  We were getting looks from  people as we started to head out.  It really didn't bother me. I let it slide.

on our way to the skate park we stopped to get some Starbucks.  Once we got to the skate park,  we sat down talking and finishing up our Starbucks. Luckily,  they provide skateboards for us to use.

Me: Lex, do you know how to skate?

Lexi: Yes, I do know how to skate.

Me: Alright then, let starts.

We started. We did some tricks and things. It surprised me that Lexi could do most of these tricks, even when they were hard.  It was like around 5:50 when we grabbed our things and put the skateboards back.

Me: wow,  didn't know you could do all those tricks. I'm surprised.

Lexi: well, before my dad left,  he tough me how to do things like, fighting,  skateboarding, and more.

Me: what, fighting? If you know how to fight, then why didn't you use it to protect yourself?

Lexi: they were to strong.  I couldn't even kick one. I was held down.  I couldn't move. Oh and, I was scared,  scared that they would get me again.

Me: well you with me. They are not going to touch you at all.

Lexi: thanks.

Me: for?

Lexi:  you know what I'm talking about. In taking about you being so sweet and all. For being here for me again.  Thank you Matthew.

Me: your welcome, Lexi.

We walked to Lexi's house. It was like about 30-20 minutes away from the skate park. It was about 6:30 when we got to Lexi's house. We walked slow just to get to her house.

Lexi: hey do you want to come inside?

*Lexi's POV*

Me: hey do you want to come inside?

Matt: yeah, sure I'll love to.

We walked inside and when to my room. We sat down and started talking about random stuff. It was fun to hang out with Matt again. I haven't seen Riley in a while. She hasn't been in school for 2 days. I wonder what happened to her. After the call, I haven't see her since. I hope Cameron didn't do anything to her. He would never, right?

It was 8:30. Matt got got his things.

Matt: so, I'll see you tomorrow?

Me: yeah I'll see you tomorrow.  Bye Matt

Matt: bye, Lex.

He left and I took a shower. I washed up and got clothes. Once I got my clothes, I put then on. It was a white tank top and white joggers.  I cleaned my face and put my hair up in a ponytail. I sat on my bed and went on my laptop.  I went though Twitter and Facebook and Instagram. I turned off my laptop and got in bed. I looking up at the ceiling as I drifted to sleep.
