Waves

Jack's POV

A paceful place, the sound of the waves that are crawling gently to the shore, seagulls flying across the clear blue sky...
I'm laying on the lounge chair while looking at Jethro and Lucy who are playing not so far away from me. We came to the beach for the weekend since we had been through really hard times. This place gives a sensation of full calm and I should thank Leon who suggested me to come here, Jethro and I waited more or less a month before coming here mostly because we wanted to be sure that everything was ok after all that had happened and I still didn't get him to talk to me about how he felt but, at the same time I know that he needed his space and when he'll be ready to talk he'll talk, he knows so well that keeping all that inside isn't good...

At a certain point something distracts me, a tennis ball almost hits me on the forehead but, instead, it falls some inches away from me, I look around to try to understand from where it came and suddenly I see Jethro running in my direction "Jethro!" I say in a kinda angry tone of voice, he's such an idiot sometimes, he comes close to me "What?" he asks "Yeah, act like you don't already know, you tried to hit me with the tennis ball" I say in an annoyed tone of voice "Not my fault if Lucy didn't catch it immediately" he replies and I roll my eyes "Anyway don't  get to close to me, you're full of sand" I say, he has sand also in his hair, what the heck did he do? "Lucy thought that it wouldn't have been bad to make me fall in the sand anyway we're enjoying our time at the beach not like you who are reading the whole time" he says and takes the book away from my hand "Give it back to me" I say and glare at him, he chuckles slightly, I don't know if I should be annoyed from this or I should laugh because of the conditions in which he is "Just come with me for a little and then I won't bother you" he says and kisses me on the cheek, I slowly get up and he takes my hand then he leads me to the water "Now you should enjoy your time here" he says and we both start going in the water and Lucy follows us "When we'll come back here we'll be in three" he says and puts his hand on my baby bump, I look at his hand and smile slightly then he kisses me.

After a while I go back to the lounge chair and lay down and, as soon as I do that, I receive a message from Ellie.

E: hey, how's the little vacation going?

J: really good, this place is amazing and it's so relaxing to stay here🥰🥰
Anyway how's going with Nick?🤭

E: Really good, yesterday after work I went back at home and then Nick arrived, he has the keys of my apartment so he came in without knocking and put his hands on my eyes while I was sitting on the couch and watching a movie then he joined me and after watching the movie we cooked together🙈

J: I'm so happy for you😊

E: Soooo how's going with Gibbs?👀👀

J: He almost hit me on the head with Lucy's tennis ball, I guess that that's some sort of couple goal.
Anyway for the rest everything is going great with him

E: I needed to see that happen😹

J: For sure you didn't and you won't see that happen🙄

E: Maybe. What are you doing now?

Gibbs comes to me and I look up from the phone "Do you want something for lunch?" he asks "You already know the answer" I answer, obviously I want to eat something, he didn't even have to ask "Ok, do you want something specific?" he asks "Uhm...no, whatever you find is ok" I say and kiss him on the cheek "Alright, I'll be back in some minutes" he says and starts walking away meanwhile Lucy starts digging in the sand and then she lays down. After some minutes I remember that I had to answer to Ellie.

J: Sorry that I didn't answer before, Jethro had to ask me something anyway we're on the beach from more are less 10 a.m, I've mostly slept and read a book😅

E: C'mon Jack, seriously? You're in such a great place and that's all you do???😑

J: I also stayed in the water for a while but I get tired pretty fast😪

Well...it's kinda normal that I feel tired, I'm almost at the end of the pregnancy and baby Gibbs doesn't let me sleep much so.
I start feeling the baby kicking and look at the baby bump and start recording it from a point where you can see the little movements and I send the video to Ellie.

E: Awww😍😍

J: This is also the reason why I don't sleep much during the night, this little cowboy has so much fun in there🥰🙄

I put my phone away as I start feeling even more tired and slowly start to close my eyes and fall asleep.

I'm sorry because this chapter is so bad and so short but I hope that you liked this chapter, soon there'll be another one.
