It's been some months now that I broke the news to everyone that Im keeping the baby and they seem to have took it very well, much better than what I was expecting. It's like every time I think the news Im about to break to everyone is bad and they'll take it badly, they actually accept it. It's been months now though, I'll be 3 months in 2 days. Everything seems to be happening so fast, I like it this way. I kind of wish they would slow down so me and Iyonna can finish planning. Being that im not finished with school I do online courses so I can keep up. It's a tad bit more work on my shoulders but I prefer this. It keeps me from stressing with all of the actual school pressure. Iyonna still goes to regular school, she has a job at my dads firm as a part time assistant, I didn't know assistants could be part time. She really likes it there and she makes ALMOST enough to afford all 3 of us. I'll get a job soon, there's not much I can do pregnant. Being pregnant isn't as bad I thought it would be, people cater to your every need, you get all the foods you want, you sleep all day without someone complaining. This is like being a baby all over again. "Hey kai, you think you can run me to the store?" Iyonna burst into the room and asked. "Nooo, I think you can run yourself to the store. You act like you don't have a license and your name isn't on the insurance babe" "I know, but I've been using it a lot lately. I don't want your dad to be mad or-" "He wouldn't have put your name on the insurance HE'S paying for if he didn't expect you to use it as much as me" I said as I got up "Well yeaa, but still. Plus I want you two to come with me" she said as she pulled me closer and rubbed her stomach against mine. She always seemed to do that when she wanted something, it always made me laugh and give in. "Ugh, alright. You're driving though" I said as I grabbed the keys and shoved them to her. "I mean, when don't I?" She said with sarcasm.

-----

"So explain to me why we couldn't go to the store closer to our house? Why did we have to come ALL the way out here?" I said as she parked the truck. "Because, the store by our house is always sold out of our favorite things" She had a point but to travel 1 1/2 at 6:00 pm just to get some kettle corn pop corn and Non sparkling Voss water made no sense!

"Iyonna, why are you such a dub? Why must you be so complicated?"

"Are you gonna keep asking a million questions you already know the answer to or are you gonna grab a buggy?"
She said as I went to search for a properly working buggy. We picked up a couple things, a lot of couple things and then she dragged me all the way to the garden department with all the smelly flowers and plowing tools.

"Why must you bring me around all of your hoes? Im you're girlfriend you know" I said laughing

"Oh hahah, very funny. You're a cornball you know that babe?" She said nodding her head "What about this one?" She said as she picked up a pot of flowers

"What about it for what? Where's it gonna go in your junkie room?"

"Oh yea, forgot to tell you...I got a raise at work. Enough to afford the '5'of us. Although there isn't 5 of us, maybe we can get an apartment?"

"Wait wait wait, you got a raise? To afford 5?!! How fucking big was your raise? Why'd you even get a raise?!"

"Obviously big enough to afford 5. & Who the hell cares why? Let's be happy and grateful"

"Oh Im grateful alright. Now I can get those new boots I wan-. Wait. You just said something about getting an apartment. Like one of our own?! Oh my gosh babe, holy shit! Yes, yes, yes" I said jumping up and down kissing all over her face!

"Yea really?! I didn't think you'd want to?"

"Why wouldn't I? I think I've healed enough since the accident to take care of myself while you're gone. Plus I know your mom is probably tired of us now. We've been there for almost a year...Well at least that's what it feels like. But yes baby, I'd love to. How though?"

"Well I was talking to your father about it and he said he'd vouch for us and be the co-signer because we're only 18...well almost, we'd need a co-signer and he said he'd be delighted"

"Wow, he said that? You must do very good work, he obviously likes you"

"All I do is take calls, make coffee, arrange meetings and things of that nature"

"Well it's something that keeps him being so nice to you. That's good though, do you have a mind in apartments?" I said as we began to walk back to the registers.

"Well yea? Maybe somewhere over here since it's closer to the job, I can do online classes like you, which will mean I'll have more time to work. And possibly get into a good college."

"Well don't you think this is a bit far from your mom and all our friends?"

"Yea, but they all have cars. We have cars, we can make a way to still stay connected."

"I guess so...but you're positive you want to move HERE!"

"YES, IM POSITIVE! It's like my dream area you know? Large homes, dog parks, FAMILIES....LESBIAN families. Some people like ourselves."

"Yea I know, that's why I thought you'd be least interested in moving here. You'll get lots of lesbian friends and maybe even find a gay bestfriend" I said taunting her a little bit. Yonna has this big thing about LGBT cliches, she doesn't like them because she feels as if it doesn't define her and it shouldn't. She thinks everyone who follow these expected standards of the LGBT community are asshole.

"Ahhh shhh, stop killing my mood with all the cliches! Im not changing my mind, even if I have to hide from them all. I want our kid to grow up around kids like him so it won't be so tough...kids are cruel!!" I didn't say anything after that, I just let it be. Im glad she's coming out of that shell of hers, it was starting to kill me.
