"Oh-"

"I'm going to guess you just burst a capillary. It's bright, bright red. I know there is at least one capillary in the knee. I know it." She informs me.

"So, you're saying I'm not going to bleed out?" I question. I am actually half concerned. A quarter sarcastic. And a quarter confused. What's a capillary? I decide not to ask.

Zoe sighs, "Fortunately, no. You will not bleed out." She shakes her head and she helps me up. Today was not a good day to wear shorts.

School finally starts. I don't like being outside the classroom. It feels... awkward. All the popular kids always seem so cool. I try my best to blend in. I always talk to Zac as we wait outside are classroom.

He sees me. His eyes are excited. I walk over to him. He doesn't say anything. He just nods. He knows what today is.

"Hi." He waits for me to say something. It's his way of asking what's wrong. Or how I am doing. I think it's- smart. It's smart. It's smart. I mean it's smart. That's it. That is all.

I just nod. I know I give off a nervous energy. He can sense it. We both have it.

"Lizzie, what happened to your knee?" He asks. He voice is sorta soft. It's- settling.

I smile, "Zoe will tell you I was trying to make the ground feel better about itself. I tripped. And I'm not sure how it got so messed up. I just tripped. I thought I just scrapped it."

He just shakes his head, and laughs.

The first four classes take forever. They don't end. They're suppose to only be an hour. But they seem like days. Years. I just want to get to lunch.

Our school is really messed up. They split us up into two groups. Divided by teacher. If you have teacher A then you get the first lunch hour. If you get teacher B then you have the second lunch hour.

Thankfully Zac and I both have the second lunch hour. Unfortunately Zoe got the first lunch hour. So we don't get to talk to her all that much. It makes me kinda sad. At least I still have Zac.

Finally the bell rings. Fourth hour is finally over. Gosh. I just wanted to get to lunch. Is that to much to ask? I guess so.

Zac and I always sit against the wall where James always sat. It feels like I have a little piece of him left when I sit there.

We don't talk. We don't move. I can't stand it.

"Why does Zoe yell 'OTP' whenever she sees us together?" I question. Just to get conversation going.

Zac tries to laugh casually. I know he knows what it means. OTP... Olive Topped Pizza? One Terrible Plan? I don't know.

"I have no idea," He lies to me. He knows. He's just not telling me. I stick my tongue out playfully at him. In the process I nearly spill my Gatorade on my pink and white top. It's striped. It's super cute. It's a crop top with short sleeves. It's light pink and white. I wear a white camisole under it so I don't get in trouble.

"Ack! This is new!" I exclaim.

"Lizzie? What am I going to do with you?"

I smile, "Feed me?"

"Hey, aren't the third graders coming to tour the school later today? Lucy would be with them, right?"

"I hope not. I have enough of her at home," I retort. Actually for a little sister, Lucy isn't bad. She leaves me alone.

After lunch is just more long school stuff you probably don't care about.

The last bell rings, I don't think I've ever ran out of class and packed my bag so quickly. Zac and I were sprinting to my house within two minutes of the last hour bell ringing.

We burst threw the door, and run down the hall. My mom wasn't home from work yet. Nor was my sister.

We practically fly through my bedroom door. We both stop dead in our tracks. The 'It' was still in the same place. It's old leathery paper poking out from its finding place.

"Could... Could you take it out?" I'm to scared. I should be the one to open it, to touch it, but it's scary. Too scary.

Zac nods and pulls it out from under the book on my desk. He places it on my desk. I stand next to him.

My hands are shaking, as I unfold the 'It'.

It was the most beautiful, and perfect thing I've ever seen. It was also the most horrible, and frighting thing.
