It wasn't long before Ayaka and Aether had set out to clear another shrine, the 3rd shrine devoted to the Great Sakura tree that is located on top of Narukami Island's mountain.

Ganyu had elloborated to them why she couldn't accompany them on their travel, even though she would have loved to.

It was a confusing thing to discuss, but the matter was something along the lines of this: Ganyu had managed to enter the Serenitea Pot realm via a device Madame Ping had made, called a Realm Dispatch. This device allows access within the realm, without having to actually interact with the tea pot itself. Aether always carries the Serenitea Pot on him, for it is how he access his homely realm. Ganyu couldn't because he took the Tea Pot with him to Inazuma (for he would need it), while she remained in Liyue. Madame Ping had made the experimental Realm Dispatch with more of her adeptal energy, presumably under secret request from Lady Ningguang. The device seems to be connected to the Serenitea Pot, allowinf Ganyu to visit Aether. This is only because it is the only pocket dimensional space Madame Ping had created. If she had created more dimensional spaces, there is no telling where Ganyu would have actually ended up.

It is important to note that the Serenitea Pot dimension technically doesn't exsist. Though everything within the realm is real and can be interacted with. Everything that takes place in the Tea Pot is essentially a large construct. Everything that happens in the dimensional space is real, but doesn't necessarily apply to the world outside of the tea pot. This was a requirement in order for much larger objects or people such as Aether to fit inside an object as tiny as the Tea Pot.

Even Adeptal Energy had its limitations, it can't defy reality.

This is why when Aether leaves the Teapot  realm, he returns exactly where he had been before he entered the tea pot. His position in the real realm doesn't change based off the position he's at in the Serenitea Pot. So if he enters the Tea Pot just outside of the Kamisato Estate, that's exactly where he or, anyone else who enters the fake realm, would be when they return.

The Realm Dispatch works in a very similar fashion as this. So if Ganyu had used her Realm Dispatch to leave, it would take her right back to her private secretary office, in Liyue. If Aether left the Serenitea Pot, then he would return to his original position within Inazuma.

This is why she can't adventure with him on Inazuma. The adeptus creation will not warp her to a location in the world she was not at before she had interacted with it.

Think of it as if everything that happened in the Serenitea Pot was instantaneous. It works in a very similar manner to that. When she leaves the realm she would return to the exact instantaneous position she was in before using the Dispatch. However, time still applies to the dimensional creation, just as it normally would.

Magical creations such as these are extremely experimental and complicated. It's essentially a giant areas of the unknown and uncertain. Not even the Adepti fully know all the possibilities and effects of their own creations.

So for the moment, Ganyu could only accompany Aether when they both were in the Serenitea Pot at the same time, which wouldn't be all that often. Aether spent a majority of his time outside of the Serenitea Pot and Ganyu had a lot of paper work to keep up with.

Though her work load has decreased significantly, Ganyu can't neglect work for too long. Most of her work is done in her private office, but some changes would be made. Thanks to Aether's kindness in accommodations, she has a fairly large work space in her room.

Even when they traveled together she still had paper work to do. But this slight factor they took in to consideration back then, had now helped her spend more time in the Tea Pot. It would allow for a little extra time with him, even if he wasn't in there too often.
