16 hours later:I closed my eyes, forcing myself to get lost in thought while sitting in the back of the truck. It was all I could do to keep myself calm because mentally I was not okay. I was sweating, my body felt numb, my heart was racing and I literally felt like I was about to throw up.
All bad signs showing how worried I was. What if something happened? What if Mike tried to kill me? What if the mission failed?
"Scott, just relax. It's not so bad" Tim whispered.
"Yes it is, I don't wanna do this man," I quietly replied even though I also did want to do it in order to spy on Mike.
"Ya, I can relate to that," Tim told me.
"Ya, I bet you could. You two are probably just gonna drag us down anyways," Mike yelled.
I got up from my seat with fire in my eyes. "I don't give a damn if we do".
"What did you just say, rookie? Mike asked with a voice full of rage.
"Mike, what he means is we don't all care about this stuff as much as you. Not all of us are willing to do anything for money. We don't all have that messed up drive like you and Kylo!" Tim screamed.
"What did you just say?" Mike angrily asked again as he walked over to Tim, clearly triggered.
"Listen, what drives me, and what drives Kylo are two very different things. So don't you dare even try to compare us!".
"Ya, and yet you're willing to do anything to help him get what he wants?" Tim asked.
Mike lost it, he pulled his gun out and grabbed Tim by the hand, a few seconds later his gun was being pointed on my head!
"You two better stay quiet or else. What did Kylo even do to you?".
"Everything!" I yelled, immediately regretting what I said.
"Why? What did he do?".
I wanted to scream hearing that question. What did Kylo do to me? Ya, I wish I could spit it out.
"Nothing, but if you two are so different, why are you always helping him get what he wants?" I asked.
Mike took his hand off of Tim's shoulder and shrugged in response, "I got my reasons".
I didn't even try to reply to that. Whatever reasons Mike had were stuff I was not interested in. I just went back to my warm seat.
"Hey Tim, thanks for that" I whispered.
Tim smiled through the hole in his mask and gave me a fist bump.
"You guys done? We're here, the museum already closed a while back, so for now, we're good. Just go do what you gotta do," the driver said.
Mike nodded and hopped off the truck followed by the rest of us doing the same. We then made our way to the back exit with the plan being to use it as an entrance because well, who the heck uses the main entrance when robbing a museum.
"Alright, two guards armed by the gates. We gotta deal with them. Scott can do that. You know, just kill them. It's simple," Mike said, grinning.
"What, no! I'm not gonna kill them". "You have to, how else are you gonna deal with them, huh?".
I just ignored Mike and instead pulled out the tranq I had been carrying in my bag. I knew it would help me out on the mission and it really was, it was the best way to get through these situations without having to kill anyone.
