I didn't really have a plan going into everything but I didn't care. I just knew I would have to get to Kylo immediately. So, what did I do? I grabbed the keys to the stolen cop car and hopped in kicking the pedal as hard as I could while turning on the radio."Breaking news, there is a terrorist attack taking place right now in Downtown. The mayor's speech is now the last thing on everyone's mind as citizens are being threatened by a bomb. The police have confirmed the bomb is real and is a serious " I heard a woman say through the speakers.
Damn it, hearing all that made me kick the pedal down even harder, breaking even more speed limits, which in turn led to me breaking even more laws. But now I didnt even care. It's not like it mattered, my badge had already been stained. Nothing could change that. So, I just shoved all those thoughts away and kept going faster, and faster and faster. It was to the point where I was basically denying the existence of speed limits. And I continued to do so until I finally made it to my destination.
Downtown, it was supposed to be all nice and organized today for the big speech but instead people were screaming, cops were spread around hiding, and everything just looked chaotic. The mayor was even being kept hostage, he was tied up in the middle of everything being forced to lay down right next to the huge bomb. Where was Kylo in all this? He was standing right in front of the mayor sticking his hand out high showing the trigger to the bomb.
"You all know what I want, money. So, give me everything you have or else" Kylo yelled, almost pushing the trigger.
I made sure to get up closer to try and analyze everything a bit better when suddenly I saw Kylo pointing his gun to the mayor's head! He was actually about to pull the trigger but I quickly ran over just meters away from him causing his attention to shift. "Hey, you don't have to kill the mayor!" I yelled.
"Well well, you finally showing your true colors, officer Scott?" Kylo asked.
I looked at him confusingly but he just chuckled.
"Ya, I knew. Of course I did. I just didn't care, because I knew no matter what, you werent gonna stop me. Just like you aren't gonna stop me right now, let's be honest Scott. There's nothing you can do, there are a dozen cops standing around this place who have all come to that realization already. Wanna know why? It's because the fact of the matter is you know I will use this bomb if necessary, and if I do that. You're all screwed!" Kylo screamed as he pointed his gun back towards the mayor.
"Kylo, don't do it!" I worryingly yelled. "Fine, I won't. It's not like I would just randomly kill an innocent person" Kylo said, smiling.
"I would," an all too familiar voice said.
BOOM! Those words were followed by a gunshot, just a single one. And before I knew it, Kylo was lying on the ground right next to his own bomb.
"Finally, I was getting sick of him anyways" I heard the same voice say.
"Mike?!".
"Yep, in the flesh".
"What are you doing here? Why did you kill Kylo?" I asked.
"Oh please, Kylo had it coming. He deserved it, I think even you agree with me on that right?".
Well, that caught me off guard, I didn't know how to answer his question. Ever since Graham told me it was Kylo who killed Liam, well yes I hated him. But now Liam was alive anyways, and I knew that didn't change the fact that Kylo was a scumbag. But he didn't deserve to die, right?
"Whether or not Kylo deserved it isn't important, why did you kill him? I thought you were loyal to him".
"Oh just save it, you think I would be loyal to him? The only reason I helped him is because I wanted the bomb, and now I finally got it".
