To anyone else, this may have seemed like a perfect day. A time to go out with friends and family and have a good time together. The birds were chirping, the sun was bright, and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. It was perfect. But Angelina couldn't help but think otherwise.

She had barely come out of her bedroom, mainly because she scared. It wasn't like she could've prevented them from opening the tomb. She was too afraid in the first place to tell them the real truth. Not like Katherine would let her anyways.

Angelina had seen this coming, a train wreck in slow motion. No amount of truth-telling would change a thing; they'd still despise her. It was time to leave, to escape this suffocating mess.

With a sigh, she set down her brush and leaned on the bathroom counter, locking eyes with her reflection. Even her own reflection seemed to hate her.

At that moment, her phone shattered the tense silence with its insistent ringtone. Katherine. Angelina chewed her nails, torn between answering and avoiding the inevitable confrontation. But deep down, she knew she couldn't hide forever.

She grabbed the phone and placed it to her ear. "Hello?"

"So the tombs open," She began but was immediately cut off by her sister.

"What—how did you know?" Angelina inquired, her brows wrinkling in confusion. "We literally just opened it yesterday."

"I have my sources." Katherine answered as her sister sighed. "Anyways, how are you doing?"

"Guess." Angelina scoffed as she exited the bathroom and paced around her bedroom slowly.

"Mad, hurt, pissed, depressed." She responded without being sensitive about it. "I get it,"

"I'm leaving Mystic Falls." She replied bluntly.

"What?" Katherine's voice became more serious and concerned. "I told you to keep Elena alive, and you kinda need to be in Mystic Falls to do that."
