Angelina stuffed her textbooks in her locker as the bustling students conversed, gossiped, and walked down the halls to class behind her. It had been a few days since the founders' party, and the rumors about her had finally died down. A few people had approached her all week in an attempt to be her friend, but all she had to do was give them a quick glare and they'd be twenty feet away from her in seconds.

Caroline was the one person who refused to take the hint, sticking to Angelina like glue. The majority of their conversations consisted of Caroline talking her ear off while she tuned in every few moments.

Elena, on the other hand, popped up now and then, mainly during lunch and in a couple of classes they shared. Surprisingly, she seemed to be spending her time with Damon more these days.

However she hadn't seen Stefan by any means. He told her that he had been endeavoring to stay away from humans until the cravings passed, which was probably for the best, yet she couldn't resist the opportunity to wonder whether something wasn't right.

After the founders party, he immediately apologized for the manner in which he acted and guaranteed that he would attempt to start acting responsibly; however for somebody who had been off blood for as long as he has, she had her doubts about whether he could stick to his word.

She was fine with the fact that he was drinking blood. In fact, she was glad. She encouraged it. But it was clear to her he was unable to control it and with the council on high alert, it meant the worst for him.

As Angelina closed her locker, the bubbly voice of Caroline echoed down the hallway, reaching her ears crystal clear even from ten feet away. The blonde bounced over, a huge grin plastered on her face, and enveloped Angelina in a tight hug.

"Ugh, I was looking for you everywhere!" She exclaimed, tightening the hug.

"Caroline, I can't breathe—" The doppelgänger stuttered out, urging her friend to let go and quickly apologize.
