YOU

I could have written a thousand verses about the abundant mysteries of nature.
I might have even written the story of my everyday life,
But You..
Like a beautiful intervention I stumbled upon You.
A blessing encapsulated in a daydream
And it just took Your presence
To take the center stage
For all of my muses to turn in second person.
You remind me of the thousand metaphors of beauty
Of how you entered in my life
Like a spark lightening my dark sky
Of how beautifully you descended like a cascade
From the heaven of divine.
Of how you burnt my anguish
Like a fascinating flame of desire.
Do you see?
How every word
Every phrase
Comes down to
One emotion
And one name
And one person
Yet unfailingly expresses
everything I want to scribble.
It took me too long
To realise
That its just
Penning You down.
And I am done writing
About the universe.
