The Lestrange girl wakes up before all of her dormmates and decides to let the other girls sleep peacefully for a while longer. Well... Marlene didn't look very peaceful, her blonde hair tangled all over her face and the cover is falling off the bed. Astara stifled a quiet snigger at her new friend's current state.

She tip-toed over to her trunk and opened it quietly. The girls didn't bother to unpack anything as they were too busy talking after the tension was eased. The rustle of the bed sheets caused Astara to shoot her head up. Lily Evans was sitting upright in her bead, stretching her arms over her head.

"Sorry, did I wake you?" Astara asks, afraid she was being too noisy.

"No, not at all." The red head replies as she quietly climbs out of bed. "What time is it?"

"It's 7:45." Astara replies, "Breakfast starts at 8 o'clock and goes until 9, which is when classes start." Lily nods at the information, then catches sight of Marlene and giggles softly.

"Who do you think will be the last to wake up?" Lily asks.

"Marlene, definitely." Astara replies without hesitation which causes more hushed laughs. The two girls get changed into their robes and go through their charms book together. Both girls had already gone through their books at home before the school year started, though for different reasons. Astara's parents expect nothing but perfection and top marks, so studying early was necessary. Lily was muggle born and loved the feel of learning new things, seeing as she was only introduced to this whole new world a few months ago, everything interested her. Astara also thought that Lily felt the need to prove to purebloods like herself that she was worthy to learn magic.

Alice was the next to wake up. After saying hello to the two girls studying on Lily's bed, she went to get changed herself. Dorcas woke up soon after, and the girls were nearly ready to head down for breakfast. It was now 8:10 and Marlene didn't show any signs of waking up.

"So.... who's going to wake her up?" Astara asked, not bothering to whisper anymore.

"Not me." The other girls said in unison. Astara rolled her eyes jokingly and shook Marlene's shoulder gently.

"Marlene, it's time to get up." Getting no response, Astara shook her harder. Receiving no response again, the Lestrange girl turned to her other dormmates for help. They shrugged back at her, not knowing how to wake her up. Astara rolled Marlene over, pulled the covers off her and shouted her name but she still wouldn't wake up. Lily disappeared into the bathroom and came out with a glass of water. She poured a little bit over Marlene's head As soon as the water touched her skin, Marlene shot up like a rocket. Lily and Astara jumped back in shock and Marlene let out a groan.

"What time is it?" Marlene asked, rubbing her eyes.

"8:15." Lily said simply. Marlene jumped out of bed.

"Why didn't you wake me up sooner!" The blonde said as she grabbed her robes and ran into the bathroom to get changed. Lily rolled her eyes at the exclamation while Dorcas and Alice laughed quietly in the background.

Marlene emerged only a few minutes later, amazing the other girls at how fast she managed to look presentable and they all headed out of their dormitory.

"Why did you have to pour water all over my hair?" Marlene whined as we came down the stairs into the Gryffindor Common Room.

"Because you weren't waking up, that's why." Lily retorted back. "Astara had already tried shaking you, but you didn't respond."

"At least Astara tried to wake me up gently." Marlene cried dramatically. "It's official, Astara is now my favourite." She said, swinging her arm over Astara's shoulder as they walked out. The new favourite just laughed as she was led out. Lily shook her head at the dramatics, though she had a hint of a smile.
