Hiro's eyes blinked open to the sound of talking. Suddenly, the talking stopped and everyone turned their heads to Hiro, Aunt Cass rushing to his bedside. When he looked toward Aunt Cass, he saw the bed and realized he was in the hospital.
"How- how long have I been here?" Hiro stuttered, beginning to feel the pain in his arm. The bullet had been removed, but there were bandages wrapped around his upper arm.
"Well, you've been asleep for three days." The doctor calmly said, looking at his clipboard.
"Three days?! What about Callaghan and the guy in the trench coat? Where are th-" Hiro was interrupted by Aunt Cass's sweet voice.
"Calm down, sweetie. It's gonna be okay," Aunt Cass held Hiro's hand- the one that wasn't hurt- and continued.
"Callaghan and the man in the trench coat escaped, apparently while we were all turning our attention to you. He-"
"Aw, man. This is all my fault! If I hadn't gotten shot, you wouldn't have payed attention to me, and they wouldn't have escaped and..." He trailed off, staring at the gang.
"Hiro, it's not your fault! Don't think like that! It was our fault, not paying attention to Callaghan and the man in the Trench Coat." Aunt Cass burst, angry that her nephew thought it was all his fault.
"...Wait, if you shot three darts at them, how would they have waken up?" Hiro asked.
"Well, I didn't. I shot five darts each..." Aunt Cass smiled weakly.
"You what?" Hiro shouted. Everyone jumped from his loud outburst. "I said three because that would be just enough to keep a grown man passed out for thirty minutes to an hour, any more than that would be an override of 'pass out medicine' as you would say, causing the person to wake up in a ridiculously short amount of time!" Hiro was outraged, half that his aunt didn't listen, half that Callaghan and Trench Coat got away.
"I- I'm so sorry Hiro!" A tear rolled down Cass's cheek. "I was just- just so mad th-that he shot you, I didn't know what to do. I thought that would keep them knocked out longer, I had no idea it would make them wake up faster!" Aunt Cass stuttered, her voice shaky and sad.
"It's, it's okay..It's just... We were so close to locking them up. For good." Hiro said, a sad expression on his face.
Wasabi butted in. "Um, sorry to interrupt, but... what do we do know?" The worried look on his face gave Hiro's stomach knots.
Hiro clenched his left fist and his jaw fell, realizing he hadn't thought about if they failed.
"Ohhh, no. No no no no no no! What now, what now-" Hiro was cut off by Gogo.
"Dude, your starting to sound like Wasabi. Worry freak." She said flatly. "I mean, I agree with you and all, but don't go crazy."
"Hiro! I said it's going to be alright. Don't you worry, we'll handle it. For now, just get some rest." Aunt Cass pitched in.
And with that, Hiro closed his eyes and soon fell sound asleep.
----Meanwhile with Callaghan and Trenchy----
"Uh, 'boss', what now?" Trench Coat asked Callaghan, looking at him and around the empty warehouse, worried that the gang would come back.
"Well..." Callaghan didn't know what to say, but he didn't want Trench Coat to think he had no idea what he was doing.
"Why don't you go look around the warehouse for clues where they might have gone, while I stay here and, uh, gather my thoughts?"
"Okay, but-" Trench Coat was cut off by Callaghan.
"Just go!!" He roared at Trench Coat, still angry that the gang had escaped.
----At the Hospital----
Hiro woke up sweating, and suddenly sat up. He had a nightmare about Callaghan and the man in the trench coat, and everyone turned to him with wide eyes.
"I-I'm fine, guys, just a bad dream." He quickly said, calming the gang down.
Aunt Cass walked up to his bedside and sat at the foot of it. "Oh, sweetie..."
"Aunt Cass, really. I'm fine. But, I know what we have to do about Callaghan and that other guy. My dream, it gave me the answer."
"Okay, you must've really been out of it." Gogo commented.
"No, I'm serious, before the nightmare about Callaghan, I had a dream. The dream showed all of us setting up some kind of trap for Callaghan and the other guy. And then Fred shouted, 'Yes, this plan is full proof!' But then the dream ended, and I had the nightmare."
Aunt Cass looked sort of serious now, and the gang were exchanging glances with each other.
Honey spoke up. "Well, people's dreams do sometimes predict the future...it's a strange fact, but it's true."
"..You know what, if you can remember the dream fully, we might just be able to try this. Anything's possible, right?" Wasabi insisted. "But for now, you should get some more rest-it's already late- and we can start in the morning.. Guys?" As Wasabi finished speaking he turned towards the group, making sure they were in too.
Aunt Cass got up off the bed, and put her hand in the middle of the group, which was now standing by Hiro's bedside. "I'm in, for Hiro." She said.
Gogo and Honey put their hands with Wasabi's and Cass's, nodding as they did. Fred shot his hand up in the air then put it with the others, shouting, "I'm in too!"
Hiro then slowly reached up with his un-hurt arm and put his hand in. "Let's do this!" The gang threw their hands in the air and shouted, "Big Hero 6!" But Hiro shook his head, and they looked at him, confused.
Hiro looked at Aunt Cass and said, "Big Hero 7." She smiled, suddenly feeling both guilt, and pity for Hiro.
----Meanwhile with Callaghan and Trenchy----
"Hey, boss, I'm not seeing any-" Trench Coat was cut off by a chattering, coming from outside the warehouse, just loud enough so that Callaghan and Trenchy could hear. What was it?
