"Fuck you." I said slowly, just above a whisper.
"Excuse me?" Dave asked.
"Fuck you." I said more clear this time, "The father of my child-"
"You mean the one that denied your pregnancy!" Dave cut me off.
"He loved me!"
"Then why didn't he tell you?!"I didn't say anything.
"He almost died for me." I mentioned.
"Pft. Please he-"
"No! don't pft! Me he loves me and almost died because he couldn't bear the thought of leaving me-"
"He-"
"No!" I snapped, "Not another word out of you! Some doctor you are! 'I can't do anything!' Really? You are no doctor can't even identify a dead body!"He was quiet.
"At least I can tell when someone's pregnant."
"You are such and ass. Greg is in the hospital maybe ten minutes and you already offer to take his place? God."
"Never use the lords name in vain." he corrected.
"Shut up! If you go to heaven after all you've done I'm more than sure I will."We didn't talk for a solid hour. I basically sat on my phone looking up baby names.
"Ma'am." a doctor said. To be honest I've had enough doctors for today.
"What?" I spat.
"You may see him now."I took a deep breath and entered the room. His heart was being monitored and he had a breathing tube up his nose, he also had an IV sticking out of his arm.
"Hello, y/n." he smiled.
"Hey, Greg. How you feeling?"
"I'm not to shabby." he laughed, "How's the baby? More importantly, how are you?"
"Well... I'd say we're shaken up. But glad your okay."We stayed quiet as I sat in the chair next to his bed.
"I was looking up baby names." I smiled.
"Well, did you find anything good?" he chuckled."I like Elizabeth, or Kate for a girl."
"What if it's a boy?" He asked.
"Maybe...Drew, or James... Not Dave.""Well, we've got time. Maybe Adam or... Andy. Or... John or Matt. Something normal." he smiled.
"So I'll dropout."
"You don't have to." he reminded me.
"I want to. I want this baby to be safe.""I love you." he whispered.
"I love you too."We sat in silence smiling at each other.
"Where's your friend?" he said at last.
"I yelled at him... so he left." I blushed.
"That's my girl." He chimed."I say as soon as I'm out of here we go crib shopping. Sound good?" he asked.
"Yea."I fell asleep to the constant beeping of his heart monitor.
