I woke up and got ready. I parked my car next to John's car and went into school. My first hour was math. Or toucher I couldn't tell. Then science, after science I had foreign language. Then journalism. I stopped at my locker before heading to history.
I sat down at my desk and buried my head in my hands. I felt someone tap me on my shoulder. I looked up from be hind my _____ hair.
"Are you alright?" John asked. "I'm fine." I mumbled. He sighed and shook his head. "No your not." He told me. "Its just a head ache." I lied. "Go to the office." He ordered. "No, I'm not going home. This is my last hour. I'll be fine." I told him. He bent down and whispered. "Wait in the office, you can come home with me." He said. I stood up and took all my things to the office, were I sat hovered over a trash can for forty minutes.
Mr.Watson came in and said his goodbyes. After ten minutes they released me. I walked out and John was waiting for me. I got in his car and he drove me to his flat. We walked in and I was greeted by a nice old lady who gave John wired looks due to my age. He lead me upstairs and told me to lay on the couch. I obeyed and he brought me tea.
"I'm a doctor, you know." He said. "Army doctor." I corrected. "Is that better or worse?" He asked I laughed. "Here." He said handing me a pill. "Take this." I took the pill and noticed I was sleepy. "You better be a doctor." I told him. "Army doctor." He confirmed before blacked out. I woke up and it felt like I was on drugs. (Not that I would know).
"Morning." He laughed. "Better." I said. "Excuse me?" He asked. "You asked me if an army doctor way better than a normal doctor. It is." I explained. "How's that?" He questioned and laughed knowing I was not in the right of mind. "It's much hotter." I told him. Black.
Here I was waking up for real. It was pitch black. I stood up and tried to walk I fell to floor. So he had a coffee table, in front of his couch. Nice. I rubbed my knee, you know the one that smashed against the table. I took my phone from my pocket and used it as a flashlight. I walked down a hallway and pasted a kitchen I finally landed at a door. I knocked carefully.
I heard the ruffling of papers and John answered the door.
"Oh, your up." He said. "What time is it?" He asked. I checked my phone. "2:43" I told him. "We should get to bed." He said. there was an awkward silence. "You can take my bed." He told me. "No. The couch is fine." I said. Another awkward silence passed. "We could both sleep here..?" He suggested. It was like he was asking me. "Okay..." I said wryly.
