"Do you know why you're here Ms.____?" The principal asked. "Because I smacked a bitch." I told him. "Ms.____!" He shouted. "Sorry, because I was abusive towards a fellow student." I said. "Why did you hit her?" He asked. "I had to stick up for myself. I'm strong, I hold my own. Don't need help." I explained.

He smiled then tried to hide it with a sigh. "I'll let you go with a warning, but you need to control yourself. It's the first day. Leave some for the rest of the year." He joked. I nodded my head and left.

I already didn't like this school, but the principal seemed nice. "Hey!" He shouted after me. "Ms.____! Get back here!" I kept walking. I walked right out of the building and hopped into my brothers car. We went to the same school and I had his keys along with the house keys. David was a good kid he got me out of a lot of trouble. I just added to his list. I drove off leaving the principal stranded in the lot.

I felt free. I knew I would have to face the consequences tomorrow but today I was free. I went home and watched some tv. It felt good to be relaxed. I didn't think about tomorrow I didn't need to. Today I was free.

I heard a knock at my door and pretended I was asleep. "I can see you!" A thick English accent called out. shit! So much for being free. I peeled the blanket off and braised the cold. I walked to the door and opened it.

"Sorry I'm not buying." I told him and shut the door. I walked back to the couch an sat down. "Miss ____!" He shouted. I moaned and dragged myself to the door.

"Look I'm sorry but you need to get back to school." He informed me. "Well I would but the principals not there." I said. He laughed "Come on I don't have time for this." He said. "But you have time to chase a student all the way home from school. Which you really shouldn't do because a principal at a students house just doesn't look quite right." I told him.

There was a silence we both eyed each other.
