Happy birthday Mason & Mary

Taylor's POV

Today is Mason and Mary's 1st birthday. Niall and I are very excited. His parents have flown in from Ireland. Niall and I have prepared for the craziness that is going to happen in the next 24 hours. As you know Mason and Mary were born on Christmas Day so we had decided to have their birthday part a few days before their actual birthday so that we could still have our family time on Christmas Day. Mary is doing fantastic she left the hospital two days ago and is now like any other 1 year old child. Niall and I decided that the theme for the twin's party would be Dr. Seuss since they love having his books read to them. I woke up around 6:30 am. I know it's very early but I had lots of things to do before the kids go up and made everything harder to get done. I went downstairs and got out the table cloths and tape. Then I went out into the backyard and started to cover all the tables Niall and I had set up last night. Once I had all the tables covered and taped down I went back inside and got the table centers which was just a bowl filled with red, white, and blue candies. Once they were all placed it was time to get the kids ready. I went upstairs to Liam, Blaze, and Aiden's room and got them into their party gear. Then I took them downstairs and put them in their bouncers. Then I went to Lylia and Brille's room and got them in their party gear. Then put them in their bouncers downstairs. Next was the birthday boy and girl's turn. I opened the door to their room and saw Niall was already getting Mason dressed. So I went over to Mary's bed and got her dressed. Then we took them downstairs and put them in their highchairs. Niall got the twins breakfast ready while I fed the babies. Once everyone was fed I put the babies back into their bouncers and the twins went to play and watch tv in the living room. I set a baby monitor in the living room so I could hear what was going on. Then Niall and I went in the backyard to finish setting everything up. Once all the tables were set I started to cook the sides while Niall got the burgers and hot dogs cooked. We set them in foil trays that had burners underneath to keep the food warm. After everything was cooked Niall parents arrived and I went out to get the cakes from the bakery. When u got back from the bakery guests were arriving and the party was starting.

"Hey Taylor" harry said

"Hey Harry. How are you?"

"Great need some help bring in those boxes?"

"Sure thank you."

"No problem."

"So where is Ginny?"

"At home."

"Oh is she feeling okay?"

"Yes just Darcy wasn't feeling well so she stayed home with the kids plus her aunt is visiting today so I wasn't going to force her into coming. I also bring good news."

"What's that?"

"Ginny is pregnant."

"Oh my gosh! Really?!" I squealed

"Yes we found out last Tuesday."

"That's amazing harry congratulations!"

"Thank you we are very happy."

"How old are Darcy, Michael, and Danny?"

"10 months."

"Awe so they are turning 1 soon."

"Yes we are excited but sad at the same time. They are just growing up so fast."

"Yes I feel the same way about all of the kids."

"Well let's get these cakes inside and get the party started."

I laughed at him.

The house was filled with people. Many of Niall's friends and family. But I soon found my parents.

"Hey sweetie"

"Hi mom"

"Have you seen my kids?"

"Yes they are in the backyard with the rest of the kids playing on the jungle gym and moon bounce. I love how you have the backyard closed in so the weather isn't a factor into the party."

"Yeah we can't really have a outside party in late December without that." I said laughing.

"So where is dad?"

"Oh he is with your husband grilling."

"So Niall isn't watching the babies?"

"No, his parents are."

"Oh well I'm going to go and chat with him."

"I will join you."

I walked towards the backyard and saw Niall, my dad and another guy who I didn't know talking around the grill.

"Hey honey."

"Oh hey babe when did you get back?"

"Just know. So who is this handsome fellow?" I asked

"My name is Ashton. Your children and very precious."

"Thank you."

"Ashton here is in a band called 5 seconds of summer and was the opening act for our band on the last few tours."

"That's awesome."

"Daddy!" I heard a little girl scream.

She ran over and hugged Ashton's legs. She had brown curly hair and looked like she was around the age of 2. She was wearing a pink dress and pink leggings with pink sandals. Ashton bent down and picked her up.

"Hey what's wrong?"

"I fell off the swing."

"Aw sweetie didn't daddy tell you to be careful?"

"Yws"

"She is so cute what's her name?"

"Bella"

"That's a beautiful name."

"Thank you"

"Well I better go find the birthday boy and girl. It was very nice to meet you both."

"It was very nice to meet you too."

I found the twins in the playroom playing with dolls.

"Mommy!"

"Happy birthday!! You two ready to eat some cake?"

"Yws!" They screamed

I carried them outside and put them in their highchairs. We sang happy birthday to them and then I placed their cakes in front of them and they destroyed them. Mason got the cake in his hair and all over his clothes. Mary was a easier mess she just had it all over her face and her hands. I have no idea what Niall and I are going to do on all the others 1 at birthdays. That would be one major bath night. Once the cake mess was over we opened presents and thanked everyone for coming. My parents stayed after to help us clean up and get the kids settled and off to bed. Niall and I put the kids toys in their playroom and went into their room. I got Mary ready for bed and Niall got Mason ready for bed. We put them in their beds and tucked them in. When we got to Aiden, Liam, and Blaze's room they were already in their cribs and asleep. Lylia and Brille were also asleep in their cribs. We went downstairs.

"Thank you for your help and for coming to the party mom and dad."

"Of course sweetie. I wouldn't miss it for the world."

I smiled

Then we hugged and walked them to the door. Then Niall and I went up to our bedroom and went to sleep once our heads hit the pillow.
