CAT TORRESHADN'T ALWAYS LIVED IN RESEDA, SHE HAD A BEST FRIEND BEFORE SHE MOVED AWAY. Before she moved she became close with a boy named Miguel, he was sweet and saw things in a certain way. So when Cat moved away didn't seem real to him because he loved her so much, they did everything together but Julieta, her mother needed a fresh start. After being left alone with a daughter to take care of, it was hard for her and for Cat.
Julieta met Carter. Both parents let to take care of their children, what more did you need. The two single parents hit it off and then their relationship flourished from there. Carter had a older daughter, Blair near Cat's age.
They all moved in together and started their own family. They needed a family but so did Daniel but maybe a totally different one. The feeling when Julieta and Carter announced there engagement was a pure bliss feeling for Cat. She truly wanted her mom to feel happy again.
When Daniel found out about them moving to Reseda, he wanted a chance again to help fix his relationship with his daughter. He volunteered to help out with the moving, Cat refused anything from him. Carter politely telling him that they had it handled.
He understood how hurt Cat must of got seeing her dad with a new wife, a new daughter and just a new family. Something she always wanted from him but she kept moving on and did everyone ignore him.
Julieta tried to help out Daniel and to get her to talk to him but it was no use. In school, Cat never made contact with Samantha even though she would try to talk to Cat. Unless she had to do it for a class or something but that was a long time ago. Now It's just a few words so that she knows that she's not an enemy.
