SOMETHING THAT WAS HARD TO UNDERSTAND WAS WHEN SOMETHING DOESN'T GO ACCORDINGLY TO THEIR LIKING, THAT JUST MEANT THEYD FIX IT. Back in the LaRusso residence, Daniel found about Cat doing karate and not only doing karate but also doing it with his high school 'enemy.' Doing Karate was one thing and it might of not been a big deal but having a contact with Johnny Lawrence was a bigger problem.
Maybe this was something to get back at him for not being there for those many years but he even thought he was trying again. It hurt the man, he was supposed to teach his daughter karate and be the father she was supposed to have. Daniel found it as a betrayal, hypercritical of him to think as he did the same thing to her.
Amanda let out that Cat was doing karate with a older man but she soon regretted it as she realized that the man was Johnny Lawrence. Julieta spoke about it with Amanda when they went out for lunch a couple days ago, Julieta still felt a small amount of pang of worry when she had let Cat still do karate with Johnny.
So, Daniel being the person he was, he called and called Cat first but when she didn't answer, wasn't a total surprise if she would have answered her. She never did even when she would have a harsh conversation, she didn't feel the need to talk back to him.
It was sad to think about it that way, but it was the honest reality, she was hurting, and he is hurting by the fact that she was in so much pain. Daniel could have hung up and drive up to her house and demand that she'd not do karate anymore, but he wouldn't want to go overboard.
Only if Cat had known what her Sensei had put her father through then maybe it would have worked out for Daniel. Honestly: nothing was going to be easy again, at least for those two in this broken small life that they were both trapped in.
