THE NEXT DAY AT COBRA KAI WAS THRIVING LESS THAN WHEN THE DOJO WAS FULLY PACKED. Before that, Eli had asked for a ride since he had no one to pick him to go practice karate. Cat had already brought Miguel and Eli to the dojo as there were less people from a few days ago. Johnny left his office and into where his students were when he saw the number decreased.
"Where's everyone?" Miguel and Cat glanced to each other, trying to see who was give him the bad news about the rest of them being gone. Miguel stayed silent, making cat deliver the news, "They quit, Sensei." Cat announced quietly preparing for a whole scene from the older man.
His face deflated, "Are you serious?" He sighed in disbelief when he turned to his students and cleared his throat before continuing. "I mean, good. That was a test. I wanted to see who the quitters are. Not you guys."
He seemed rather than disappointed, "You're in it to win it, right? You could be at home playing your iComputers, playing your video games, eating candy. Instead, you're here, doing push-ups, learning how to fight." Johnny nodded towards those who had taken the courage to be at his dojo.
Johnny Lawrence looked ahead and pointed straight to Eli, "Lip. Look. Even Lip's tougher than those guys. He's no quitter." The man still acknowledging his physical appearance that he was conscious about that hadn't stopped him. Eli had muttered him to not call him any names regarding what he looked like.
"Excuse me, what?" Johnny asked, "I said could you please not call me that." Eli looked towards Cat's direction and was about to interject when Miguel interrupted her so that they could past what was about to be something big. "We'll warm 'em up, Sensei."
