"Thankyou"

Saebyeok turned around and saw a girl behind her who was wearing a soft smile on her face, confused she asked "for what?"

"For helping my ass back there" Said the girl.

"Oh that, that was nothing"
Saebyeok replied, not really knowing what to say to the girl.

"Still, i wanted to thankyou" Nabi said now looking at the girl noticing how awkward this conversation is getting, let out a sigh and sat down next to her extending her hand to introduce herself.

"I'm Nabi by the way, Geun Nabi."

As Saebyeok looked at her, deciding whether to shake her hand or even tell the girl her name, Nabi continued by saying

"You don't have to tell me your name if you don't want, i just wanted to introduce myself" she said with a slight smile. After quite a while she accepted the girls extended hand and said "Nice to meet you"

Their interactions was soon ended after the guards entered the room.

"You have all made it through the first game. Congratulations. You're moving on, i will now announce the results of the first game."

As the guard clicked a remote, the tv in front of the room that was showing how many participants there was is decreasing, it came from 456 down to 201.

"Out of 456 players, 255 were eliminated, and 201 players successfully completed the first game." The square head said.

Gasps and murmurs quickly filled the room as players found out how much people actually died at the first game.

"Mister, please!" said a sobbing woman "Listen, I'm so sorry i swear I'll pay what i owe. I'll do it, I'll pay it all" she got on her knees and begged the guards "Please, sir. I have a child. Oh! So young, i need to register and still name my child, sir. Please, sir let me leave"

With that more and more people got to their knees and begged the guards to let them go and saying that they can't keep going anymore.

"There seems to be a misunderstanding. We are not trying to hurt you or collect your debts. Let me remind you that we're here to give you a chance" the square guard said.

"A chance? We play some kids games and you shoot us. You want me to choose that?" Said by Player 119.

"We may be in debt, sir bit that doesn't justify killing us all." Said another player.

"This is just a game."

Sure it is.

"Killing everyone out there, that was just a game to you, huh?"

"They were symply eliminated for breaking the rules of the game. If you just follow the rules, you can leave this place safely with the prize money we promised."

"Just keep your damn money. I don't care! Let me go home. That's all i want." A man said.

"Consent form clause 1. A player is not allowed to stop playing."

No words can explain what Nabi is feeling right now. Yes, she wanted to go home safely but she also wanted to stay, hoping to win all six games so she could have a chance to find her parents. Biting the inside of her cheek as she sees players screaming at the guards and saying that they're doomed if they didn't let them go.

The guard, who now fired a small gun that was aimed at the ceiling, watched as all terrified players ducked and started covering their heads. Proceeding to read out the rules of the contract.

"Consent form clause 2. A player who refuses to play will be eliminated." He said

From the corner of Nabi's eyes, she saw the man with glasses standing up and saying the consent form clause 3. That if all players agreed to stop playing, the games are allowed to end.

"You are correct." The masked man said.

"So let's vote on ending this. If the majority wishes to leave this place, then everyone gets to go home, right?"

"All right, as you wish. We will take a vote to decide on the termination of the game."

Nabi let out a sigh after hearing what the masked man said, but was it a sigh of relief or the exact opposite? She didn't know. Looking to her side she saw the girl wearing a downcast look on her face so Nabi said

"By the look on your face I'm assuming you want to stay?"

The girl looked at her and nodded
"I promised my brother, I'd get him out of the shelter and that id get our mother out from the north" she said.

"Oh I'm so sorry, is there anything i could do to help?" Nabi asked

"I don't think so, but thankyou."

Nabi slowly nodded suddenly feeling pity for the girl, she truly wished she could be able to do anything to help her, but her thoughts were soon cut off after the masked man said

"Before we vote, let me announce the prize money for the game as previously promised." Clicking a remote that led the top door to open showing the massive piggy bank being filled with money. Stacks and stacks of money. Everyone watched the piggy bank get filled up with a slightly gaped mouth.

Nabi couldn't believe her eyes, after the piggy bank was done being filled with money the masked man said.

"A total of 255 players were eliminated during the first game. A hundred million won is at stake per player. Therefore, 25.5 billion won of prize money has been accumulated so far. If you wish to give up on playing the 25.5 billion won will be sent to the bereaved families of the late players, 100 million won each. However, you will all return home empty-handed."

One player raised their hand and asked the masked man how much would they get if they managed to compete all six games.

"Since there were 456 players, the total prize money is 45.6 billion won. And with that, we will now begin the voting."

Some time passed and all the remaining players were now standing at the right side of the room in front of them was two buttons, one had an O and the other had an X. Players waited patiently for the masked man to say further instructions.

"As you can see, there are two buttons in front of you. If you wish to continue playing press the green button with the "O" but if you wish to stop playing press the red button with the "X" instead. After you finnish voting move to the other side of the white line and wait. Voting will be done in reverse order of the numbers on your chests. Player 456, please cast your vote." The masked man instructed.

Hesitant, the man stepped forward and stood infront of the buttons. He took a couple of seconds before he settled on the Red button. One by one each player selected the button of their choice.

When it was Nabi's turn she looked at the button in front of her, sighing as she made up her mind and pushed the green button, then walked towards the other side of the line along with the other players who casted their votes already.

The votes are tied up at this point 100 to 100, with the old man who hasn't voted yet, walked forward and and gazed at the colored buttons for quite some time but finally pushed the red button.

As half of the players started to celebrate and jump around with pure joy, Nabi was still having mixed feelings about the entire thing looked to her left as she heard a small sigh coming from the girl next to her.

The other half of the players were now protesting to the masked guards, saying that they wanted to stay and that those who want to go could leave. But of course the masked man replied with.

"It truly is a pitty that we must say goodbye to you like this. However, we will not completely seal the door of opportunity. If the majority of you wish to participate again, then we will resume the game. So, goodbye for now."
