Birthday

It had been three months since Nabi confessed to Saebyeok in her car. Over time, the two got to know each other more, and eventually Geun Nabi and Kang Saebyeok started dating.

Their parents didn't seen to mind when they revealed their relationship. In fact, they said "they saw it coming" with the amount of times the two spent in each other's houses.

And they were more than happy.

But the most surprising reaction they got was from Addam and Cheol.

The kids just stared at the couple with their mouth gaped open, then the two slowly looked at each other before screaming at the top of their lungs.

"WE CAN BE BROTHERS!"

As the two jumped around and celebrated, Nabi turned to Saebyeok and jokingly mouthed, with a smile "we're not getting married yet right?"

To which she chuckled and mouthed back "Not yet"

Now, back to present day.

It was Saebyeok's birthday and Nabi was tiptoeing to their room, carrying a cake that she secretly baked the night before.

She carefully sat down on the bed and wiggled her knees against the sleeping girl. Since both of Nabi's hands were occupied.

"Beaky, wake uppppp~" Nabi whisper sang.

Saebyeok only grunted and buried her face deeper into her pillow, the other one only smiled.

"Psst, beaky wake up. This ca- thing I'm holding is a bit heavy, you wouldn't want it to accidentally fall on you" Nabi teased, but quickly adding "it's not a rock"

"I see you're still sticking with the nickname" Saebyeok grunted.

"What do you have against that nick name? It's cute"

"It's a bird beak"

"Haven't you seen Harry Potter? I got it from the nickname Hagrid gave Buckbeak. If you don't like it, sucks to suck, because I'm keeping it." Before muttering "besides, both of you have a slight attitude so it fits"

'You're lucky i like you.'

When she finally opened her eyes, she was welcomed by her girlfriend who wore a beaming smile, which she returned.

"Surprise, Happy Birthday!" She cheered.

Saebyeok chuckled "You made that?" She said. Nodding her head at the beautifully decorated cake Nabi's holding.

"Yep. Now go on, make a wish" She said.

After Saebyeok closed her eyes and blew the candles, Nabi smiled proudly then placed the cake down on their bedside table before she got engulfed in a tight embrace.

Saebyeok never celebrated any of her birthdays before, seeing as she never found a point in it and no one really made an effort.

But watching Nabi prepare and cook things for her, makes her appreciate the little things this girl does.

"I like this" she heard Nabi mutter.

"Thankyou for that" Saebyeok kissed Nabi's temple "Have you been practicing?"

"You're more than welcome. And how did you know?" She looked at Saebyeok who gave a sly grin.

"I sorta caught you baking in the middle of the night a couple times"

"Ah, nevemind that. Here, open your gift" She reached out and pulled a neatly wrapped gift under the bed and handed it to her.

"You know, you didn't have to get me anything" Saebyeok said.
