Chapter 5: The Reverse of what was really happening

Later that morning, Tsuna got up happily. He frowned when he noticed that his younger brother weren't around. He shook it off and thought that he was downstairs waiting for him. They would always wait for each other. He got down seeing Nana sitting on the dining table looking blankly at the spot where Tsuyoshi would like to seat. As a 7 year old, Tsuna went near Nana and asked obliviously "What's wrong Okaa-san?? Why are you like that?? Where's Otouto??". Hearing the brunet out, Nana feared that this brunet might hate her. She kept her mouth shut about what had happened earlier and said monotonously "Breakfast is ready.." and being as an obedient child, Tsuna sat down at his chair and ate his pancakes.

That Breakfast was the very first breakfast without noise nor happiness. "Would Okaa-san mind telling me the truth..?" Tsuna blankly asked making Nana looked at him surprised.

-Osaka, Japan-

"WHAT!?" Tsuyoshi exclaim and lean at the wall. All of Nana's relatives were stun by how clever was the kid to understand what they had said. "Why do you have to lie to my Okaa-san!?" Tsuyoshi tearly asked as Nana's mother went near him and explain "Because your Grandfather doesn't want your mama worry for him anymore.." "B-but lying is BAD!!" Tsuyoshi reasoned and looked at his feet. Later, Nana's father went in to the room with a wheelchair begging "Please, Grandson.. I don't want to see my daughter cry if I ever leave.. The reason why your here is that part of you could be a resemblant to her.. I loved your mother as much as I loved to see y-- *coughs blood*" "OUJI-SAN!!" Tsuyoshi cried as everyone panicked.

They took the old man to the nearest (or should we say it's far-est??) hospital. As they got there, all of the nurses and doctors did their best to help him. While waiting for the results, Tsuyoshi looked at the Emergency Light blankly. Miyuki saw it and right on cue, Nana called. "Mind answer this one for me, Tsuyoshi..?" Miyuki asked as she gently hand Tsuyoshi her phone. Tsuyoshi looked at it with dull eyes. It ended without Tsuyoshi picking up, but that didn't stopped Nana. She called once more. Tsuyoshi saw it again till Nana's mother patted him, encouraging him to pick up. And so he did.

"Miyuki-nee, What's wrong?? Why you didn't pick it up earlier..?"

Hearing his mother's voice makes him feel goosebumps. Tears started to fall as his lips disobey him. 'Come on! Say something! That's Okaa-san!!' Tsuyoshi kept shouting in his mind. Before he knew it, his Guardian Angel patted his shoulder, smiling an encouragement. Seeing this, he smiled and slowly replied "O--Okaa----san..??".

On the other side of the phone, Nana impatiently waited for her sister's answer till.. "O--Okaa----san..??" a young boy's voice got her crying. Oh, you wouldn't know how much Nana missed him despite the fact that he just left 5 (or more?) hours ago. Knowing his mother's reaction, Tsuna's little hand landed on her skirt, tugging it for a request. Nana saw it and told on the other line "Shi-kun, dear.. Is it okay if your Big Brother talk you..?". Hearing the boy say yes, Nana gently gave Tsuna the phone. Giving Tsuna a smile, she left the brunet to talk with his beloved brother alone. "Otouto??" Tsuna questioned. Tsuyoshi on the other line, can't help but to smile and reply "Hai, Tsu-niisan..?" "Why did you left me and Okaa-san behind?? Are me and Okaa-san a burden?? Am I a failu---" Tsuna asked and was cutted as Tsuyoshi said "Aki-oujisan's..! H-he's..!" and he heard his little brother sob.

Tsuna whispered comforting words at him through the line. Hearing Tsuna, he had calmed and said "What should I do, Onii..?". Tsuna questioned him why till he replied "Aki-oujisan had a very death threatening illness but he told me that Okaa-san must not know.. Onii, I feel like I'm changing.. I'm sc-scared.." "No need to be scared Otouto.. It's natural to change.." Tsuna happily replied. But it was countered. "I'm changing the way I am.. I feel like I'm not my---" and there, the conversation was cut. Tsuna looked at his mother's phone and it was.. Low Battery.

Staring at the phone seeing his face on the blank screen, he could see Tsuyoshi on it. Seeing that he continued to change and continues to get farther to him, he couldn't help but to cry and mutter Tsuyoshi's name over and over. To the other side and to the other place in Japan, Tsuyoshi finally let his river of tears out and call for his mother and brother, saying he was sorry, saying everything out from his heart's content.
