Trying to hide her identity from any familiar faces, Lilith hid within the crowd. Thankfully her height complimented her actions, but everything else, down to her ripped clothes, were too obvious. So she crossed into the OZ as quickly as she could. But she didn't miss being in the exhausting line already, which was somehow more suffocating than the morning one. She placed her arms in front of her, she couldn't shrug any gen off as her body moved without objection. As if being lifted into the air, she felt light when getting closer. But again, time would tell if she'll ever get out of the Oz. Keeping her mouth shut instead, she stared at the wide ceiling.

Her thoughts wandered in the meantime. Still looking back to check if any striped uniforms were around, before relaxing her shoulders. Del's advice was to stay put for a while, but there was still the glaring problem that she no longer had a Sect surname. And without that, anything in the past would eventually catch her. Like how no gen can out run the rising horizon, it'll have its way in spreading its glow. Lilith mind then wonder about Yanke, thinking back about how they've visited her at dawn. Her gut twisted in her admin. Even though she wasn't harmed, Lilith didn't like how she was easily associated.

And that the Regans had a high incentive to hit her in broad daylight. Her head started to throb. She massaged her skull in an attempt to connect all the dots. If there were any to begin with. Her mind spirals in more, like rewinding a movie to understand what the scene presented. It didn't feel right after she escaped so easily. Her conflicts with the stripped uniforms brought in more painful memories than the ones recreated not so long ago. Lilith reached into her pocket but stops suddenly when recalling she wouldn't be happy searching for her baggy jeans.

'If only I had my cell.'

She knew that Bel wouldn't get off till midnight. It would give her enough time to warn her and possibly relocate them somewhere else. She thought they could go to the Underentry, but that also belonged to the Regans. Worst of all, that place had heavy dealings of weaponry and Lilith didn't want to get in a crossfire that easily. It is just one easy way for her to visit Delcour in the Gateway, and she wasn't ready for such a sad fate yet.

There was Del. But she was afraid of him becoming a much bigger target if she decided to crash at his place. Or maybe she could stay there for half a month? Then she needed to find a payphone fast or at least something to contact him again. But her thoughts settled on the fact she had nowhere to go in the end.

She sighed in frustration, 'I'll just go home and warn everyone.'

A sharp pain erupted on her shoulders, causing her to elbowed her sudden assaulter. The stranger blocked her blow and turned her around for her to make eye contact with deep, void-like irises. Lilith's eyes wander through the male's body. From the front, he has hazelnut skin that the light complements its complexion. It glowed from the dim light. Corkscrew curls but is partially shaved above the earlobe. He was in a tight dark tux uniform missing the tie and wore shiny new oxfords to complement it. Rough hands that held every scar. Deep, but shallow cuts, there were dark dead skins corning around the wounds. Then her eyes face a familiar smile that stretched on his face. But it was more somber when it became radiant. Lilith raises her eyebrows in disbelief when she saw the whole picture.

"Uncle Max!" She exclaimed, quickly wrapping her arms around his neck. Taking in the familiar misty grass scent that overwhelmed her senses.

"Hey, short-legs," He chuckled, his blurry tone was hard to detect from his husky voice. He returned the hug as Lilith's embrace became tighter.

"Going somewhere?" She asked, knowing well she might not get an answer back.
