"Nathaniel! Get your lazy butt over here!" I screamed from where I was sitting at my desk, my small computer open in front of me.

"I'm getting you your water right now so just calm down," he replied from somewhere in the house.

"I don't care about that; just get in here."

At the sound of my tear clogged voice, he immediately turned off the faucet and rushed upstairs. He was holding his pistol in his hand and aiming it around the room, keeping it off me, as he searched for what caused my panic.

"What's wrong? Did someone break in?"

I shook my head, tears in the eyes I kept locked on the computer. "Put that away and come here."

His face twisted into confusion but he complied. After switching on the safety and placing it on my vanity, he went over to my desk to look at what was on the computer. Like always, the orange Wattpad bar greeted him with my story underneath it. It seemed like every time he came over, he had to drag me off of it to start the date.

I was obssessed.

"What?" he sighed. "You've shown me your story before, Polly."

"Look look look look look!" I squealed and pointed at something on the screen. Squinting (how did she look at something that small for hours a day?) he could make out the words '77 reads'. He looked at me like I was crazy.

"Yeah? And?"

"I had 63 reads before! I got FOURTEEN MORE READS!" I was bouncing in my seat when I made than observation.

"Congrats?" he drew out, uncertain about how to reply.

I rolled my eyes and slapped his arm. "Fourteen Nathaniel, that's like triple what I normally look to for a new update. This is insane. I'm so happy."

"Happy enough to finally start the date we were supposed to go on fifteen minutes ago?" he questioned.

I pouted and crossed my arms. "This is seriously exicting. I was going to kiss you senseless because of it, but I don't really want to anymore."

He smirked. "Come on, babe, you know it's only because of me that the story's so popular. If I didn't let you use my character no one would read it. You can't resist this."

"Is that so?" I drawled and scanned my eyes up his body. "From what I can see, the only thing you have going for you is your height."

"I think you mean length."

"Yeah, I'm totally not kissing you tonight, pervert. I still need to finish editing chapter 22, anyway, so let's just cancel that date, 'kay?" I turned back to my computer, flicking my hair to the side to expose my neck. He always liked my neck, giving me hickies everyday that required tons of make-up to hide. On cue, his lips decended on it.

"Let's leave that editting for another day," he whispered against my skin. "I got a reservation at that restaurant you love so much."

"Cheater," I moaned.

He smiled against the skin where my shoulder and neck met. "Just smart." Reaching over, he closed my laptop and moved his hands to my waist. In a second, I was lifted out of the seat and pulled against him as he continued kissing my neck. "Your readers will understand. You did just give them two chapters in a week."

"Yeah," I sighed.

"Say thanks and let's go," he commanded gently.

"Thanks." He removed his lips and began to pull me out of the room. "Oh, wait. I don't know who you are, but, really, thanks for those extra reads! Stop pulling; I'm coming, Nathaniel!"

The door closed behind them and the sound of a giggle rose from the building before the front door opened and closed. In seconds, the sound of a motorcycle could be heard taking off down the street to the sound of a high-pitched squeal.

Thanks to all my readers who got me here!
