"What's going on?!!"It was ms Pauling.
Oh shit oh f**k oh shit oh f**k—
Clestia looked at her calmly and looked at shadefire. Her head was trying to process what was going on. She could only feel fear right now. Clestia was very calm about this. How could she? Ms Pauling eyes were locked onto ShadeFire's with an expression that could kill a hundred. She felt a spark in her and jumped in front of clestia. "Shadefire. What is going on?" Ms Pauling asked with a calm yet angry tone. A silence split between the two, Shadefire didn't know what to say to her without telling her about the spies in her home. She felt like a blanked out for a bit. Until her voice kicked her back in. "Shadefire! I won't repeat myself. What. Is going on?!" She Yelled to shadfire. She snapped out of the trance and jolted. ShadeFire's breathing increased and my heart skipped a beat in a bad way. "I.....I cant tell you." She said sternly but softly. "Why not?" She protested. "Because. It's shifter business and personal.". She glared at me like she always did to the men since I've been here. she sighed in defeat and started walking away.
"Shadefire. Come. Now." Without question, She followed we walked through the hallways and then she finally spoke. "Look. I know what you have experienced. With the...with the BLU's." This got Shadefire off gaurd. She jerked and stopped walking. "W-what?! How do you know?!-" She said. Then, the realisation hit me. She was there when my family was. Shadefire remember her from when She was being belted. I know once she saved me when she found out about the 'punishments' the BLU's were giving me. She'd still remember them. Scout, sniper, and engineer were the ONLY ones that treated her with any amount of respect back then. She was glad she escaped when She did. Soon, ms Pauling and Shadefire reached a room. "Why are we here?" She asked suspicsiocly. Shadefire looked at her and then she noticed her. "Well...we wanted to interview you and talk about what happened." She replied. Surprisingly, it wasn't the 'talk about what happened part' that scared Shadefire . It was 'we'. "Um...did you say WE?!" I yelled. "Yes." She said. When we stepped through the door, the room was white and in the middle, was a neatly placed chair and table. A mirror was on the side of the room that didn't match somehow. She stared at it for a long second and realised this wasn't a mirror. It was a screen. Someone was behind their and I didn't know who. I layed low and sat on the chair farthest from the screen. I heard something beep and a faint voice. Something was DEFINITELY wrong. Shadefire kept her gaurd up, but played along anyway. "So...Shadefire. We wanted to know......what EXACTLY happened with the BLU's and you?" Pauling asked. "Well.- wait. I'm...im not In trouble?" I said steadily. "Well...no actually. I SENT clestia here. If you didn't know, she use to work with the men for a while.". Shadefire was quite shocked at the statement. But it made sence why she was so calm when ms Pauling came in the room. "Oh....wow.". "So Shadefire...let's get to the point. We need to know....what happened between you and the BLU's?" She asked calmly. "W-well...when I was a pup, 8 years old...m-me and my siblings got caught by the BLU's after t-they killed my parents." She spat out, choosing her words carefully. Ms Pauling grabbed a clipboard and started writing on a piece of paper. "Right....what did they do to you?" "W-well...after we were captured, t-the medic tried to clip our wings. Yeah.... THAT didn't go well for him. Um...we did some training and one day, I messed up. REAL BAD. I had accidentally broke scout's arm even though he insisted on training me. That day, I got belted by soldier and now have these marks on my back leg." Shadefire explained. She wrote something down again. "Well...Shadefire....um...we actually have some of the BLU's here..." Pauling rubbed her neck. "WHAT?!" Shadefire snarled.
Her face got close to Pauling. "B-but they aren't here to fight! They're here for an interview!" She yelled slightly frightened. "Better be right paulin' ." I said with a growl. She picked up a transmitter and said "come in now." . 9 men walked into the room and stood near the door. Shadefire lowered her ears and looked at them defensively. "Hello Shadefire." BLU engineer spoke. "Hi" I growled back. "Well. Why the f**k are you here?" Shadefire said in a vicious tone. "Well...we...wanted to know. How. HOW a did you escape? We are more advanced at keeping hostages than the RED's" BLU engineer said. I banged my hand on the table, making a hole full of cracked wood and splinters. "why the HELL SHOULD I TELL YOU?!" I yelled. "Woah! Kid chill out!" BLU scout yelled back. "I don't know if you've noticed, BUT I AINT A KID ANYMORE!" "Woah!! Break it up! Sigh, Shadefire. Go out. I will talk to them." Ms Pauling said. "Alright" Shadefire said leaving as she death-glared the BLU's. She left and made her way down to the hall where the RED's were waiting for her. "Aye. Lass what was that about?" Demo asked. Shadefire remained silent. "*sigh* please. Leave me be. I ain't needing this right now." She said calmly. She went to the room where she was kept for the time being. She went to the river and sat down. Clestia followed and sat next to her. Shadefire inched away from her, feeling sort of betrayed. "Shadefire look. I'm sorry. I really am but...I had to. Ms Pauling couldn't get close to you without me. I'm sorry shadey." Clestia said. "She USED you. You mean." Shadefire interjected. "It ain't your fault. Is hers. And what I saw in there...god. It made me wanna run to hell." She said. Clestia brought Shadefire in for a hug and Shadefire hugged back. The warm embrace made Shadefire happy. She felt like crying but she didn't. Clestia eventually broke the hug and walked up to the door. "Shadefire. I have to go. I cant risk being seen by other humans. I'm sorry." Clestia said. "What? Well. Alright. I hope I can see you soon my friend." Shadefire got up and hugged Clestia one more time. "Goodbye shadey. I promise I'll see you in a month or two." She said. And with that, she took off through the window. Feeling happy, Shadefire left to the living room. She walked past engineer, who was working on something what looked like to be a room. Ha. A room for who I wonder. She glanced and walked off. I finally got to the living room and sat on the couch, feeling defeated. After a while, a few men accompanied me. Scout sat to the left of me, medic to the right and sniper to the far left. "Hallo Shadefire. How are jou feeling? After zhe entire voice-changing thing?" Medic asked out of the blue. "Well. I'm fine. Just a little tired. To be honest, i could go for a Pepsi." Shadefire responded. "Hey toots. Ya seem a little...down. Somethin' bothering ya?" Scout asked in a concerned tone. Shadefire looked at her fiddling hands then looked back at him. "Well...I'd prefer not to talk about it." "Alright then." Scout looked at her then continues his conversation with someone else. I looked around the room to see engineer at the doorway. "Shadfire? Ya coming with me." Shadefire got off the couch and made her way towards him. He motioned her to follow him and she did. Shadefire sighed. "Where are we going?" She asked him. "Well I have a surprise for ya. Since you'll be staying with us for a while, I made a couple changes to a room that we ain't using". He said to Shadefire. After a while, we were at the room. The door matched all the other dorms that the men had. ShadeFire's name was etched in black on a gold plate above the door and a noticeable silver lock was to her right with a silver door handle above it. "You'd actually do this for me?" She questioned in wonder. "Well. Where else ya gonna sleep?" Engineer joked. He handed Shadefire a key to the room and stood aside. Shadefire held the key in position and twisted it in the lock. The door opened and she walked into the room. Shadefire was personally shocked at how he did this in only a few days. The walls and floor were a reddish-brown coloured wood that had definitely been oiled. A window-door was at the opposite end of the dorm, but edged to the left a little bit and outside that was a small balcony. Shadefire walked deeper into the room and noticed the bed. It was a decent size. At least a queen sized bed. After all, she is 5'4 already. Next to the bed was a drawer made out of red tin that had a recognisable lamp on top of
along with an alarm clock. On the other side of the room, a walk in robe with neatly placed clothes on coat hangers folded. She walked back out of the room. "Thanks engi. I really appreciate it." Shadefire said to him. "Your welcome kiddo. So...since it's my day with you, would ya like to come with me?" He asked with an unsure look on his face. "Well it's only fair to." Shadefire said.
