"Mom, what is this?"
I say, looking at my mom. I was confused as to how we looked so young in the pictures which is why I didn't remember him, but how did he remember me? How did he know my name?
Mom begins to speak
"You two were such good friends when you were little!" The poor boy was going through a lot as a little one and you being the sweetheart you were, helped him out through it!"
"WERE a sweetheart!? I like to think i'm still nice." I say trying to lighten the mood.
"So, what was wrong? Do you know? Why would he always be upset?"
"We never new. I never asked his parents, thinking it was none of our business. But we knew that you definately helped him a lot! You would do whatever you needed to put a smile on his face even if he was so upset he would be crying!"
"Oh, ok. Well, maybe we can be friends again? I mean, I don't know how big my chances are considering how sassy I was to him in the store. But i'll try to reconnect with him!"

After our conversation, me and mom get up from the couch and she goes to her office, while I go to my room. I sit on my bed and start playing my guitar.
On my tenth birthday I told my mom I wanted to start learning guitar and piano. For my birthday she got me teachers for both of the instruments!
My father always loved to play piano and ever since he passed, playing piano has always felt like something i'm doing for him.
After a couple of strings were pulled and nothing clicked on the guitar, I sit over at the big black piano at the corner of my bedroom.
And I start playing.

HEY! I'm back!!! I'm so sorry it took me soooo freaking long to get back to you guys!!! A few weeks ago we got told that i really need this surgery, and we have to travel to new york, and we were gonna have a different surgery that would've taken place sooner but, nope! im back now!!!
