Never In A Million Years/ A Draco Malfoy and Y/N Fanfic(YEAR 3)

You had a pretty good first night at Hogwarts. The beds were so comfy that it took you a total of 30 minutes for you to get out of bed! Pansy was relieved to see that you have finally woken up. She had tried whacking your head with a pillow, convincing you with telling you what they have at the Great Hall for breakfast, and threatening to dump an ice cold pitcher of water over your head. 

"You go on down Pansy. I don't want to be the reason you miss breakfast."  You said, already feeling a little guilty that she stayed this long.  

"You sure y/n? I don't want you to get lost."  she said with a nervous look on her face. 

"I won't! my Grandma made sure of it! She told all of the portraits about me so that if they ever see me wandering then they can point me in the right direction! Plus, i mean, if i happen to run into my Grandmother, then well; she'll lead me there I bet" You say with reassurance. 

Pansy thinks for a moment. "Alright. If you're sure. If your not down in 20 minutes though, I will be coming to look for you. I'll see you then." She said, halfway out of the dormitory door. 

You finish getting ready and grab your bag and put on some light makeup. You go downstairs to the common room and then stop. No one else seemed to be in there but you. However, you still seemed to hear something. Something like someone was whimpering. Or crying but trying to keep themselves very very quiet. 

You look around the room and see Draco crumpled up into a ball on the common room couch by the emerald green fire. His head buried in his arms and his arms wrapped around his knees.  You slowly start to walk toward him. Once you get close enough you say in a soft tone,

"Hey, Draco? You alright?" 

He looks up at you and seems a little embaressed for not noticing you. You two share an awkward silence for only a few seconds. The seconds seem like hours before he says, 

"ya, ya, i'm fine." 

And gets up, grabs his bag and heads out the common room door. 

You stand there a little confused. 

"Did I make him feel ashamed?" You thought to yourself as you walk to the Great Hall. 

"Will this make things more awkward between us in the future?" 

You hoped not. All your life you never saw anything wrong with guys showing their feelings or showing signs of what other dungheads would call "weakness". So, you would just put this encounter behind you. 

But during the entire walk to the Great Hall, you kept getting more and more nervous at the thought of Draco being one of those guys that is always embaressed about these things. You'll never bring it up again, but what if he got so embaressed that he never even wants to talk to you again. 

You reached the Great Hall and head to the slytherin table. Everyone is there......except Draco. 

"Hey, have you seen Draco by any chance?" Pansy asks you before you even sit down. 

"Actually, ya. But in the common room." You say nervously, hoping that Pansy wouldn't ask more questions so you'd expose him. 

"Do you know if he's coming? Breakfast is almost over." Pansy says with a little bit of a nervous expression on her face. 

"Well, he left before me so i thought he would be here by now but, I don't think he is coming..." you say sympathetically. 

"Is he ok? How was he acting?" She presses on.

You sigh annoyingly, "He was crying. He looked quite upset about something. I asked him what was wrong, and he told me he was fine but then he just up and left the common room. So I thought I would find him down here but, nope." 

Pansy looks over at Blaise and Theo who were listening in and they all shared a sympathetic look. 

"What? Do you guys know whats wrong with him?" You say.

They glance back over at you quickly before Pansy answers,

"No, it's just we hope he doesn't make a habit of missing food." Then they each get back to eating.  You feel like there is something that they know, but aren't telling you. Do they not trust you? "Am I making them feel like they have to cage up their feelings just because i'm Mcgonnagall's granddaughter?" You thought as you ate.

You didn't have much time to think on this though, as the bell for 1st period rung and you all headed to your first class: Potions.
