THE START. ▶

─────────

IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, there a 10 year old young girl sitting on the swing as she sways her legs playfully, her monochrome colore eyes staring down the ground. her face showing no signs of emotion at all. just blank.

"hey, why are you here all alone by yourself?" mused by a male's voice from nearby. she jerked up her head, facing towards where the voice was coming from. it was a tall and slim male, with messy black hair. he was looking at her most likely with the same face, blank yet his voice was somehow laced with concern and confusment.

staring at the young male blankly, still swaying her legs, she lets out a heaved sigh. "my brother's somewhere else, and my friends at home are busy." she exclaimed nonchalantly taking note of what she just said. it was true, her brother, Draken was with his delinquent friends while her friends at the brothel had to do their work. she was not in the mood to read, nor sleep either.

     she was definitely bored.

the young man lets out a light-hearted chuckle at the latter's response to his question. she very much reminds her of his little brother. "you remind me of my little brother. it looks like he's at the same age as you." he says as he gives her a big genuine smile.

the young latter just stares at him blankly, not knowing what to reply, she's never interacted with anyone else aside from her brother and her friends at the brothel. she was an anti-social person, and they knew that. yet she somehow felt comfortable being around with this stranger she just met 5 seconds ago.

who knows he's probably a delinquent planning to beat her up anytime and grab her money or something.

"this is weird. so weird." she mumbles out quite loudly, her gaze looking away from the mun as she stares at the ground, then to her hands.

     "what is?" the mun replied.

"i somehow feel comfortable around you, a mere stranger i met minutes ago." she answers as she glances back at the raven haired male. she was definitely not the type of person to get comfortable with people easily, she hates interacting with strangers, and so does she hate the crowds. it suffocates her.

Draken was the only one who talks to her at situation like these, but he left with his friends, at this very moment. he told her a tons of things about his friends. he once asked her if she's interested on meeting any of them, but she somehow refused. she was not ready to meet and talk to strangers, and his friends are probably some third year bastards and a bunch of delinquents.

yet look at her now, talking to a mere stranger she met a few minutes ago, already feeling comfortable with the person and the atmosphere they made. he was a nice, yet awkward guy, but it was still fun talking to him.

"it's quite late now, you should go home or a group of delinquents might gang up on you." he mused softly, gazing at the young latter as he pats her head. they've been talking for the past few hours now and they didn't even notice.

"will i still see you here tomorrow?" she asked sincerely too afraid to leave the person she just met. she might never see him again, and she doesn't want that. she just made a friend.

"probably, i come here anytime of the night. i just happened to see you here." he exclaims while gazing at the starry night sky— the wind rustling as it hits his porcelain face. today's a pretty night.

"that's reassuring." she mumbles out the two words she's been waiting to say. she was glad they could still be able to talk and could still be able to meet.

"what's your name, little one?" the mun asked— glancing at the young latter again, waiting for her answer.

"Riku. Ryuguji Riku. what's yours?" she replies back, her eyes facing towards the mun as she answers the question.

     "Shinichiro. Sano Shinichiro."
