"Wake up! Rise and shine pretty boy!" You barged into what was now Izana's room.

He groaned, turning his back to you as he covered himself with the warm sheets. "Get out of my room."

"So comfortable already, huh?! Get up, you ass!" You grunted, tugging the blanket away.

"What the fuck!?" He jolted, covering his very much clothed chest with his arms like you've just stripped him naked.

"Oh come on, you have a shirt on you moron!" You rolled your eyes, dropping the blanket.

"This is invasion of privacy!" He yelled.

"Yeah? Well, you don't pay rent!" You countered before adding, "Yet."

He looked at you bewildered. "What does that have to do with anything?!"

"I don't know— ugh! Just get up already asshat!" You grumbled, throwing the blanket back over his head.

He let out a yelp as the sudden weight of the blanket surprised him. "Hey!"

You laughed quietly as you exited the room. Breakfast was already on the table and you made an easy simple omelette, your usual breakfast whenever you had any.

This was probably the first time you've had breakfast with someone ever since you began living alone. Now don't get me wrong, it's not that you had some deep dark family secret or history.

Really the only way to put it is the fact that your parents were tired of coddling your lazy ass and decided to kick you out.

It wasn't so forceful of course, and if you wanted to stay they would've let you, but you understood well the concept of independence and knew you wouldn't be able to rely on your parents forever.

The sound of footsteps dragging along the ground grabbed your attention and you turned just as Izana emerged from the hall, trudging his way to the dining table.

"I made you an omelette if you're hungry," you watched as he sat down and stared at the plate, clearing your throat awkwardly as you said, "You don't have to eat it if you don't want to, my cooking isn't the best after all."

He snapped out of his thoughts, eyes finding yours. "No, I'm sorry for spacing out. It looks good."

You let out a sigh of relief. "Phew, okay. Well I've got work at the local cafe from 8am to 4pm today so I wont be home til then. Will you be alright?"

He nodded, "Yeah, I'll be fine, don't worry."

"Alright," you grinned, taking the seat across from him as the two of you dug in.

"Y/N?" Izana suddenly called.

You swallowed your food, taking a sip of water before responding. "What is it?"

"Are you really letting me stay here?" He asked, doubt in his eyes.

You softened, placing your hand on top of his. "You're my friend now, Izana. You can stay for as long as you want."

He stared at you, eyes locking with yours and the two of you remained like that for a passing moment.

You cleared your throat awkwardly, looking away from him. "So uh, I'll head to work now," you mumbled.

"Okay," he replied quietly.

You took your empty plate and placed it in the sink, washing it up and placing it on the drying rack before wiping your hands.

"I'll see you at 4, bye Izana!" You waved as you exited your apartment, letting out a huff as you closed the door behind you. "Man I really am crazy."

"Thank you so much, have a nice day!" You waved goodbye to your hundredth customer for the day.

It was only two in the afternoon and you were already exhausted as shit.

"Boy they just keep coming don't they Y/N," your best friend and coworker, Kakucho butted in.

"Shut up! They might hear you dumbass!" You scolded through gritted teeth.

"You seem abnormally restless today," he points out, adjusting his apron.

You looked at him weirdly. "What do you mean?"

"I mean," he starts. "It looks like theres something on your mind."

You paused for a moment, pondering. "Well, I got a new roommate recently."

"Finally?" He tilts his head as you nod with a grin. "Is she pretty?"

"He's really pretty," you winked.

Kakucho's jaw dropped. "Your new roommate is a guy?!"

"Yeah?" You gave him a weird look. "What's the issue?"

"It's a boy!"

"What are you? Pregnant?" You jolted when he smacked your arm.

"Y/N be serious please!" He whined. "This is a boy! Who knows what kind of manipulative tricks he has up his sleeve!"

"He's not like that," you frowned.

He crossed his arms over his chest, giving you a look, "How do you know that?"

"Instinct," you replied simply, hands on your waist.

Kakucho let out an exasperated sigh, giving up on arguing with you. "What's his name?"

"Kurokawa Izana."

He paused, thinking for a moment. "That's a pretty nice name."

"Right?" You giggled. "Just as pretty as he is."

Kakucho gave you a weird look. "You're an odd one, I'll tell ya that."

"He thought so too," you grinned, twirling around playfully.

"That's not a good thing, dumbass," Kakucho scoffed, rolling his eyes.

"He still thought about me though," you pointed out with a silly smile, sending him a playful wink.

Kakucho couldn't help but crack a smile too, "You're unbelievable."

"Why thank you, thank you very much."
