You had spent three days in the hospital, finally being moved into a normal room after Izana's heart rate returned to a higher pace. You took care of him the entire time and he too grew more attached to you.

He didn't like it if you left him alone for too long, he was wary of the people in the hospital, not trusting them the way he trusted you.

Luckily he at least opened up to his psychiatrist and they've given you his diagnosis. He had two variants, Major Depressive Disorder and Persistent Depressive Disorder. That of course, made it all the more difficult for you and him.

You didn't have the money for a stable psychiatrist, heck you weren't sure if you had enough money to pay for the medical bill once Izana was released. But you tried not to think about it too much, Izana was your main priority right now.

Kakucho was obviously worried when you told him you'd be taking leave from home for a while and kept secret where you'd be staying. He wanted so badly to ask, but he knows that there would always be a good reason for keeping stuff from him.

You opened the door to Izana's room and he immediately called your name as you flinched. "Y/N!"

"Calm down, ca;m down," you uttered, walking over to his side and kissing his cheek. "I swear you're so clingy these days."

Yeah, so we may have skipped a few chapters but to keep things short, you and Izana were now in the stage between talking and an actual relationship. It started the day after he woke up from the coma.

Of course, neither of you admitted your feelings and it was a sort of silent confession, but you were satisfied with that much.

"You left me," he frowned.

"I went to buy us food because you kept complaining that hospital food is dog shit," you laughed, messing up his hair affectionately.

"That's because it is," he grumbled.

"Hush now, be a good boy and eat your food," you dramatized, shoving a riceball in his mouth to shut him up.

He chewed obediently, eyes lighting up at the delicious flavor.

You would know, seeing as you didn't have a lot of money you instead learned how to buy the best things for cheap. It was a good skill to have, you wouldn't deny that.

"Good isn't it, pretty?" You smiled as you sat down next to him, resting your chin on your hand as you gave him a smug smile.

He froze and upon noticing your expression, scrunched his nose up in fake disgust. "This tastes horrible, I don't know what you're talking about."

"Oh? Then I guess I can eat it for you," you opened your mouth, leaning over to take a bite, but just as you were about to, he pulled away and bit off of it.

"My riceball," he grunted, chewing away with grumpy satisfaction.

"Such a drama queen," you smiled, taking his free hand and planting a kiss on his knuckles. "So cute."

A warm blush spread across his cheeks as he looked away from you. "Don't do that."

"Do what?" You grinned teasingly.

He grumbled incoherently in response, shoving the last of his riceball into his mouth and chewing rather aggressively. "I don't like you."

You laughed, "No you certainly don't, cuz you love me."

"How do you feel about finally going home?" You asked, carrying your bags as the nurse pushed Izana on a wheelchair.

Since he had been bedridden for quite sometime his body wasn't fully accustomed to moving or walking by himself, thus the wheelchair.

He'd just need a few days to practice walking again and as of now he still needs your help, but he seems to be doing better slowly.

"Better, that way it's only gonna be you and me," he replied, smiling to himself as a taxi finally stopped in front of you.

You stared at him, your own smile forming at his adorable nature. "How cute."

When you arrived home, you had asked the taxi driver to help bring up your things while you assisted Izana. Kindly enough, the man told you that it wasn't necessary to pay him for the trouble and wished both of you well.

When you closed the door behind him you turned back around, hands on your hips as you faced Izana who laid tiredly on the couch.

"Wanna take a nap?" You asked.

"Only if you cuddle me," he mumbled sleepily, reaching his arms out to you.

You smiled as you walked over to him and straight into his arms. "My baby," you smiled, messing up his hair affectionately.

"Love you," he murmured, pressing a kiss to your shoulder.

"I love you too," you smiled, kissing his forehead.

"Here too," he said, pointing to his lips.

You couldn't help but laugh as you obliged, leaning down and pressing a kiss on his lips. "C'mon pretty, let's get you to bed."

Carefully, you helped him up, wrapping an arm around his waist as his other arm slung over your shoulders.

It was going to be like that for a while, but deep down you didn't really mind. Rent was probably the only issue up your ass.
