A/N: Gentle reminder that this book is already coming to an end.

The day of your double date is finally here, and you couldn't be anymore excited than you were right now. You were practically prancing around the apartment.

"Izana do you think this looks okay?" You asked, angling yourself in front of the mirror in the hall.

He appeared behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist and resting his chin on your shoulder, swaying your bodies side to side. "You look beautiful in everything you wear."

"Thank you," you smiled, turning your head and kissing his cheek. "Are you ready to go?"

He nodded, "Mhm, I was just waiting for you."

"Thank you for being patient with me."

He chuckled charmingly, "I should be saying that to you."

You shook your head, "There's nothing you need to thank me for, now let's go. I don't wanna keep those two waiting any longer."

"Okay," Izana grabbed your hand, intertwining your fingers and bringing it to his lips, pressing a kiss to the back of your hand. "Let's go."

He gently pulled you to the door as you obediently followed behind him.

When you reached the door, Izana stopped you, wrapping a white scarf around your neck to protect you from the cold.

"What's this?" You asked, a gentle smile on your face.

"I made it myself," he muttered shyly, a faint blush coating his cheeks. "I watched a couple of videos online, it's not the best but-"

You shushed him with a peck on the lips, eyes sparkling. "Thank you, Izana. I love it."

He blinked a couple of times in surprise before he smiled. "I love you."

"Koko!" You waved the dark haired male over to your table as he and his boyfriend entered the restaurant where you would be having your double date.

Inui waved at you as well with a smile on his face and you couldn't help but grin wider. You were excited, this was going to be your very first double date and you had so much planned.

"Hi you two!" You greeted them with excitement before gesturing to your boyfriend. "Izana meet Inupi-kun, Inupi-kun meet Izana, my boyfriend."

Inui stretched a hand out and Izana took it politely, shaking hands with the former. "It's nice to meet you."

"It's nice to finally meet you too, Izana-san." Inui smiled as he sat down next to Koko and across Izana.

"Just Izana is fine," he said as you grinned, happy that they were getting along nicely. "How long have you two been together?"

"Six months, what about you two?" Inui asked.

"Four," Izana replied proudly as he wrapped an arm around your shoulder, pulling you closer and planting a kiss on your temple.

A warm blush spread across your cheeks as you lifted your hands to cover them, shy from Izana's bold and sudden PDA. "Izana!" You mumbled shyly as Koko and Inui laughed.

"I didn't take you for the shy type, cousin." Koko teased.

"Yeah neither did I you." Inui smiled, kissing Koko's cheek as he froze, red coating his cheeks, mirroring your own as Izana and Inui laughed together, high-fiving one another proudly.

"Oo just you wait, I'll get back at you for this Izana." You huffed determinedly.

"I'd like to see you try, sweetheart."

What does it take to make sure your person knows you love them?

Sometimes it takes nothing, while other times it takes everything.

But we need to learn to cherish every moment with our person, because we never know when the day will come when they are taken from us.

Every moment is precious as they come and go, for we can never relive them no matter how hard we try.

Life itself has a funny way of playing games, toying with your heart and breaking it to pieces. But it also mends the heart, puts it back together and fixes it into something that is more beautiful.

Life is everything, but death is what gives life its meaning.

You'd think no harm would come from crossing the street, and that should be true, if drivers were careful and so were pedestrians.

You found yourself excitedly crossing the street as soon as the light turned green, ushering Izana, Koko, and Inui to hurry up for the next part of your date with failure to notice the speeding car coming your way.

The last thing you saw was Izana's terrified expression as he ran to push you away and after that, everything else went dark.
