The picnic went surprisingly well, Kakucho and Izana were getting along perfectly and you couldn't be happier. Of course, that was also thanks to you warning Kakucho about what not to bring up around Izana.
This was probably the most you've seen Izana smile, and you couldn't help but feel your heart melt at the sight of it.
He just looked so pretty.
Even Kakucho seemed to be enjoying himself a lot more, grin as wide as ever.
"Ah, it's a shame I have to get going now. It was really great meeting you, Izana," Kakucho smiled, standing up and dusting his pants off.
"It was nice meeting you too, Kakucho." Izana returned the smile.
"Don't forget about me," you cut in pettily, crossing your arms over your chest.
Kakucho laughed, nodding his head as he reached down to rough up your hair. "Catch ya later Y/N."
"Bye!" You waved, watching as he walked away before turning back to Izana. "Man, that was great."
He smiled softly, nodding. "It was. Thank you, Y/N."
"Hmm? What for?" You asked, tilting your head.
"For getting me out of the house. I never thought I'd have this much fun."
You couldn't help but blush at the sincerity of his thanks, looking away from him. "You don't gotta say that while looking so pretty, ugh."

You and Izana were finally heading home.
While you had briefly gone over to the grocery store, you noticed how exhausted Izana seemed and decided to head home with him instead of forcing him to stay out any longer.
When you arrived home, he instantly shut himself off in his room, and you let him.
He seemed tired, you weren't going to stop him from getting the rest he so badly seemed to need.
But there was something bothering you, a nagging feeling that urged you to get him checked.
Yet, you couldn't simply ask.
It was much easier said than done. What would he think if you just asked him to get a checkup from a psychologist?
It's like you'd be telling him you thought he was depressed.
Well truthfully you did suspect so, but what could you do? He had no motivation to do anything, all he did was sleep and stay at home. Heck at this point could you even call that living?
You and now Kakucho were the only people Izana interacted with, that wasn't really a good thing.
"What should I do?" You mumbled to yourself as you arranged the groceries on the shelves.
You wanted to help Izana, but how could you do that? You were afraid to ask, afraid of how he would react. Maybe Kakucho would know what to do.
You nodded to yourself, rambling on. "That's it, I'll call Kakucho." You brought out your phone and quickly pressed on his contact on facetime.
The phone rang for a while before a soft 'click' was heard, followed by Kakucho's voice. "What's up, Y/N?"
"Kucho, I need your help," you said.
"Something wrong?" He asked, turning on his camera to show his face.
"It's about Izana," you told him, continuing to fix the groceries.
He tilted his head as he watched you work. "What about him?"
"I'm worried about him, he's got no motivation to do anything. He eats, sleeps, and stays at home." You let out a heavy sigh, pinching the bridge of your nose. "I want to help him but—"
"But you don't know how to do it without sounding like an asshole who thinks he's depressed." Kakucho cut you off, finishing your sentence.
"Exactly."
"Sometimes all a guy really needs is a hug," he said. "I get plenty from you but a lot of guys out there don't really know what it's like to be comforted. Just let the guy open up on his own and if your suspicions continue, help him reach out for professional help, okay?"
You nodded, "Got it, thanks Kucho."
"Anytime babe." He waved before hanging up.
With a new wave of determination you marched over to Izana's room, not much logical thought running through your head, simply the instructions given to you by Kakucho.
Thus, you barged into Izana's room to find him sitting on his bed, staring at nothing. His eyes darted to you as confusion flitted in his features.
"Y/N, what—" He let out a soft gasp when you cut him off, embracing him in a tight hug.
"I care about you a lot, I hope you know that," you whispered, tightening your grip on him. "You don't have to tell me anything, but I'm always going to be right here to listen."
He was frozen for a moment before you felt him hesitantly lift his arms to wrap around you as well.
You were surprised when he began to tremble in your hold, wet tears dripping on your shoulder as he silently cried in your grasp.
"I-Izana..." you stuttered, taken aback as you soothingly rubbed circles on his back.
"You don't know how much I needed to hear that," he whispered, voice wavering as he held back the waves of emotion that overcame him.
You couldn't help but begin to feel emotional too, god and you so badly wanted to hit yourself for not asking Kakucho for help sooner.
"I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you, I didn't know how," you mumbled, tightening your arms around him. "I'm here now, Izana. So please rely on me, even if you struggle to."
