this is just a little au on shuffle playlist (Which is the d2 rewrite hhxr), basically; what if instead of Mal going to Uma alone, (y/n) went along and talked to Uma first before the deal was made. leading to a wildly different timeline.

Uma watched the front doors of the chip shop, waiting for Mal to walk through so they could talk about what would happen to king Ben. But Uma was surprised when it wasn't Mal who walked through the saloon-style doors, it was you, Uma's ex-best friend's girlfriend. And you looked...pretty pissed.
"Uma, you-me. Talk" she walked up to Uma, making her scramble back as (y/n) descended on her with piercing eyes. Uma held up her hands and (y/n) stopped as soon as she did, keeping her distance at Uma's request.
"I told Davy to send only Mal" Uma snapped, ripping off her apron and tossing it to cook, who caught it and folded it up. "where is she?"
"outside, but I need to talk to you first before you get distracted with all that" you waved off her question, nodding outside where Uma saw a flash of purple "I'm not here to intrude on the deal, but have you seen Harry. At all?" Uma stopped, harry...why were you asking about him? She hadn't seen him all day? "he said he was going to talk to you and his sisters and for all I know he's only talked to CJ so far and that was two hours ago" you stressed, and Uma finally noticed Harriet standing outside just next to Mal, her piercing blue eyes on her. "and he left his apartment -two hours ago- to talk to you!" Uma's heart dropped as her mind finally caught up with what you had been saying, Harry had come back to the isle, and over two hours ago he had talked to CJ and then came to talk to her, but never arrived. Something had happened to him.
"shit, no I haven't seen him at all" Uma muttered, forgetting her bitterness against Harry and Gil to follow you out as you cursed and turned on your heel "wait where are you-?" you turned as you went to walk out of the chip shop, looking to Harriet for a moment before looking back at Uma.
"Harry's missing, no-one else has seen him. I have good reason to suspect someone took him, and I think you know who" you muttered, Umas eyes widened, Harry's dad, Captain James Hook was a horrid man and Uma had attempted for years to get Harry away from him. And even Umas sadness turned near hatred for Harry wouldn't stop Uma from saving her ex–bff.
"im coming with you- JONAS" the called upon crew member looked up with wide eyes "go get Ben and let him go, I have more concerning matters to attend to" Mal leaned into Umas line of sight with wide eyes, surprised Uma was giving up her plan so easily "Harry is more important than Ben-" Mal smiled at her.
"I know, go save him, I'll try to get a limo here next week if you don't come back with us today" you smiled at Mal as Uma stared at her shocked, she had made a lot of progress in the last six months and her letting her anger go from Uma kidnapping Ben was a huge show of it.
"come on then" you started to walk off, Uma quickly grabbing her sword before following you and Harriet to her ship as Mal followed Jonas to the lost revenge to retrieve Ben.
