The Two Sons Of Bani Israel

اذا المرء لم یخلق سعیدا تحیَّت عقول مربّیہ و خاب المؤمل
فموسی الذی ربّاہ جبریل کافر و موسیٰ الذی ربّاہ فرعون مرس

Quite a long time ago, two little boys were born in Egypt in the clans of Bani Israel, both of them named Musa. And both were separated from their families.

One grew up under the care of Allah's Angel, Jibrail (علیہ السلام).
The other grew up under Allah's enemy, the cruel Pharaoh.

You would naturally expect the boy taken care of by Jibrail (علیہ السلام) to have absolute faith in Allah, having seen Allah's angel with his very own eyes. And for the boy under the Pharaoh's care to be as cruel as him. But Allah had planned differently for both of them.

Their paths, although intertwined, differed vastly. It all started with two mothers who could not see their children being killed in front of them. It all started when a man came to the Pharaoh and prophesied that his rule would end at the hands of a child of Bani Israel. It all started when Bani Israel, the descendants of Prophets, started to forget their Lord.

Bear in mind that these are not made-up stories, but history told to us to learn from.
