“HE'S fucking in love with another woman.” 

The night that night I asked him kung ano ba kame. Wala siyang naisagot sa akin, umalis lamang ito na parang maling kwarto ang pinasukan niya. 

Maybe he's with his girl now, medyo matagal na kasi siyang hindi umuwi sa bahay. 

Why? Did the fucking realization hit him? He's fucking in love with another girl and yet he's fucking me. 

He told me that he likes me, but then he is fucking in love with another woman. 

“Are you sure about that?” tanong ni Veronica, bakas sa boses nito ang labis na pag alala. 

Nandito kami ngayon sa favorite naming bar. Kahit pa mga busy silang tao ay naka-hanap pa rin sila ng oras upang makasama ako rito. 

“A hundred and one percent sure. They mentioned this while we are having a dinner the last time.” saad ko saka sumimsim sa iniinom ko. 

Lorelei sighed. “Have you ever tried asking him about this?” 

Ngumisi ako habang pinaglalaruan ang baso ng inumin sa kamay ko. “Yeah,” I mumbled. “I asked him kung ano ba talaga kami— he didn't answer he just walk out of my room.” I looked at them and smiled sadly at them saka muling ibinalik ang atensyon ko sa basong nasa kamay ko.

“Do you love him?” 

Natigilan ako ng marinig ko ang tanong ni Brianna. Napatingin akong muli sa kanilang tatlo, mukhang hinihintay nila ang isasagot ko. Do I love him? 

Do I love a person who is madly in love with another girl? Do I love my step-brother? 

”Yes,” I said as the tears escaped from my eye. “But, what can I do? He's in love with someone else.” 

Nakikita ko ang awa sa mga mukha nila, agad nila akong nilapitan saka mahigpit na niyakap. 

Minutes after ay bigla ko na lamang naramdaman ang pagsakit ng aking tiyan. I was already groaning in pain, wala akong ibang ginawa kung hindi ang umiyak habang hawak-hawak ang tiyan ko. 

“Caily, anong nangyayari sa 'yo?” natatarantang tanong ni Lorelei. The other girls look so worried too.

Bigla na lamang dumilim ang lahat.

“OH my gosh, thank God you're awake now!” 

The moment I opened my eyes isang nakakasilaw na kwarto ang bumungad sa akin. Hindi naman ako tanga para isipin na hindi ako nasa ospital. Because this room clearly shows that I am at the hospital. 

Ang huling naalala ko ay bigla na lamang sumakit ang tiyan ko. Wala naman akong nakain na bago sa katawan ko at nakaka dalawang baso pa lang ako no'n ng iniinom ko. 

“What happened? Bakit ako nandito?” I asked Lorelei, siya lang kasi nandito ngayon. Suot niya pa rin ang damit niya kagabi. Did she sleep here?

Babangon na sana ako ng pigilan niya ako. “'Wag ka na munang bumangon.” 

“Okay naman ako, ah.” sabi ko pa sa kanya. “Alam ba nina Daddy na nandito ako?” 

Lorelei shook her head. “No, your phone is dead. Hindi ko naman alam ang landline niyo sa bahay. Do you want me to call them?” 

“No, mabuti nang hindi nila alam na nandito ako.” I muttered. 

“But why?” usisa pa nito. 

“Just don't, ayoko lang magalala sina Daddy sa akin.” I said and smiled at her. “By the way, where is Veronica and Brianna?” pagiiba ko ng usapan. 

She sighed, maybe she realized that I don't really want to inform Dad about me being here in the hospital. 

“They just grab some food,” aniya. 

“What about the doctor? Pwede na ba akong lumabas? Okay naman din ang pakiramdam ko.” I said trying to sound that I am really fine, they have nothing to worry about. 

She shook her head. “Nope, the doctor hasn't arrived yet. She said that she will just wait for you to wake up.” Tumango na lamang ko sa sinabi niya. 

“Look what we have here!” Brianna exclaimed while showing me the plastic bag from Jollibee. 

Napangiti ako bigla ng makita ito, natakam tuloy ako ng dahil do'n. 

“Kamusta ang pakiramdam mo?” Veronica asked. 

“I'm fine, hinihintay ko na lamang kung ano ang sasabihin ng doktor. I really wanna go home, hindi ko gusto ang amoy ng ospital.” I told them. 

“Yeah, I agree.” Brianna said while nodding. 

“Umuwi na lang muna kayo, mukhang kailangan niyo ng umuwi okay na man din ako.” sabi ko habang pinagsadahan sila ng tingin. 

They all wearing the same outfit last night, mukhang nag stay talaga sila dito sa hospital para lang sa akin. 

They shook their heads. “Don't worry about us, maganda pa rin naman kami kahit wala pa kaming ligo.” I laughed about what Brianna said. Kahit kailan talaga 'tong babaeng 'to. 

“Yes, don't worry about us. Focus on yourself first.” Veronica said who's sitting on the couch while holding her milk tea. 

I just smiled at them, I am really lucky to have these girls with me. 

“Did Tito already know that you're here?” Veronica asked. 

“She didn't want to,” Lorelei answered while handing me my meal. I thanked her after that. 

“But why? I'm sure Tito will be worried knowing that his unica hija didn't come home last night.” Brianna said as she bites on her burger. 

I smiled faintly at them. “I just don't want him to get worried and in fact it's not serious, simpleng pagsakit lamang ng tyan ko ang nangyari.” 

Veronica sighed, she sip on her milk tea first. “Kung isa itong serious matter, kami talaga ang unang magsasabi kay Tito, naiintindihan mo ba ako?” she said, she is really the acting big sister among us four. Perks of being the oldest in the group. 

I smiled and nod at her. “Thank you,” buong sinseridad kong sabi. 

We didn't bring the topic back, we just talked about some random things. We all laugh our asses out, hindi ko nga alam kung anong oras na. 

“Good thing you're awake now, Miss…” The doctor trailed off and looked at her monitoring sheet. “Miss Sandirigo.” 

“Is she okay? Hindi naman po siguro malala ang lagay niya, 'di ba?” Sunod-sunod na tanong nitong si Brianna. Kaya agad siyang binatukan nitong si Veronica. 

“Gaga, 'wag ka ngang OA!” Veronica hissed at Brianna. Natawa na lamang kami kay Brianna kahit ang doktor na kasama namin. 

Brianna made a peace sign to the doctor. 

“Well, Miss Sandirigo, I advised you not to drink any alcoholic beverages again.” The doctor said, 

My forehead creased. “Why?” I curiously asked her. 

Like, huh? Hindi na ba ako makakasama pag may balak kaming pumunta sa bar? Gosh, I can't imagine it! 

“We ran some tests on you, we found out that you are four weeks pregnant.” she informed me. 

Napantig ang tenga ko sa sinabi niya. Did I just hear her right? 

I heard a dramatic gasp from these three girls. 

“W-what d-did you s-say?” I stammered. Maybe I didn't hear her clearly. Kasi hindi pwede eh, hindi pwede.

“You're four weeks pregnant, Ms. Sandirigo.”
