I view in this story! I don't know why I am so excited.

Allura followed the matchmaker into her hut. As Allura sat down the cricket hopped out of her cage. (An: Romelle is the cricket). The matchmaker frowned, studying Allura.
""Huh, hmm, too skinny". Allura noticed Romelle hopping away and silently panicked. "Hmph, not good for bearing sons". Allura grabbed Romelle and stuffed her in her mouth as the matchmaker turned to face her. "Recite the final admonition".
Allura smiled sheepishly. Grabbing her fan she held it in front of her face and spat Romelle into her hand. "Fulfill your duties calmly and re- f- spectfully. Reflect before you snack". She blinked and glanced at her arm. "Act". The matchmaker frowned and took Allura's fan with a frown. Seeing no notes on it she handed it back and pushed the teapot towards Allura.
"Pour the tea. To please your future in-laws you must demonstrate a sense of dignity". The matchmaker rubbed her face, leaving a trail of ink. Distractedly, Allura poured the tea onto the table and hastened to fix her mistake. "And refinement. You must also be poised".
Allura pushed the cup of tea towards the matchmaker but noticed Romelle sitting in it. "Um, pardon me?".
"And silent!" The matchmaker roared.
Allura reached for the cup. "Could I just take that back, one moment". The two of them struggled for the cup and it spilt over the matchmaker's dress. Romelle fell down her dress with a little squeak.
The matchmaker scowled. "Why you clumsy-". The matchmaker felt Romelle inside her dress and started to wriggle. "Woo, woooo, woooooo". The matchmaker fell into the pot of coals and her dress caught on fire. "Ahhhhhhhh!". Allura began to fan the matchmaker's dress but the fire only got worse.

Grandma turned to Melenor as the two of them listened to the racket inside the matchmaker's hut. "I think it's going well, don't you?".
The matchmaker ran out of the hut screaming. "Put it out! Put it out! Put it out!". Allura grabbed the tea cup and dumped the tea on the matchmaker. Then she curtsied nervously and covered her face.
The matchmaker scowled at her. "You are a disgrace! You may look like a bride but you will never bring your family honor!". The townsfolk whispered sadly and walked away. Allura, Melenor, and Grandma started for home.
-*-*-
Allura walked through the garden slowly. Spotting her father, she lowered her head sadly.
"Look at me"
"I will never pass for a perfect bride"
"Or a perfect daughter"
"Can it be"
"I'm not meant to play this part?". Melenor and Alfor quietly discussed what happened at the matchmaker's.
"Now I see"
"That if I were to truly be myself"
"I would break my family's heart".
"Who is that girl I see"
"Staring straight"
"Back at me?"
"Why is my reflection someone I don't know?"
Somehow I cannot hide"
"Who I am inside"
"Though I've tried"
"When will my reflection show"
"Who I am inside"
"When will my reflection show"
"Who I am inside?"

Allura sat by herself next to the pond. Alfor came up next to her. Seeing him approach Allura turned away sadly. Alfor sat beside her.
"My, my, what beautiful blossoms we have this year. But look, this one's late. But I'll bet that when it blooms, it will be the most beautiful of all". Allura rested her head on Alfor's shoulder and the two of them watched the pond ripple.
How sweet, I almost feel bad for what happens next.
Almost!
