After the tour Four took us to our room, which was simply one big room for everyone, the toilets had no doors and the showers were out in the open, lovely.
I met a super sweet girl named Hanna, who looked rather sweet and innocent, but after talking to her for a few minutes, I knew she could kick ass.

Four tells us to find clothes from the pile in the middle of the room. Considering we didn't have to train today, I choose heeled lace up boots with tight black jeans and a cropped style top. I make sure however to also get out some black runners for tomorrow, and clothes that were easier to move in for training. I'll be able to buy more clothes later on, but for now this will be enough.
Tris is kinda scared about changing in front of people, so I hold a sheet in front of her, I can't even begin to imagine how nervous and uncomfortable she must be right now.
Four returns and leads us to the dining hall where you can feel the energy and atmosphere radiating from within. When we walk in Four disappears off to I assume where his friends or other members are, and we search for a seat.

In the end the only seats available are near Four after all. I end up sitting opposite him and am greeted with a small, private grin before he returns to his food as my new friends slip into the seats around me.
We chatter mindlessly for a few minutes, getting to know each other through moments of banter and laughter. The topic turns to our old factions, a fun topic until Four speaks up about how he "doesn't want to hear about our old factions, you're Dauntless now," and so on.

"Were you a transfer too? Or Dauntless born?" Tris says, staring a Four.

"What makes you think you can talk to me?" Fours replies coldly.

"Must be because your so approachable," Tris says after a slight pause. Damn she has a death wish.

"You know, like a serial killer," I joke, if only to make sure Tris isn't ended for her comment.

"Careful," is all Four says, and returns to eating. In the following moment the whole hall goes quiet, and I try to figure out why.

Then I see Eric walk across the room. He walks with heavy steps, head held high and gaze set straight ahead. Straight towards our table. He reaches the table and the talking in the hall resumes as he whispers in Fours ear, then turns to us.

"Four, are you going to introduce me?" Eric's says while smirking slightly, knowing he's able to assert his power in this situation.
"Tris, Christina, Hanna, Emerson and Astraea," he says and points to each of us in turn. Eric stares at me for a moment,
"Astraea? Why does that sound so familiar to me?" He questions towards me, trying to look intimidating, but I'm not really scared, although I probably should be.
"If you mean the one that beat you, then yes," I reply, now I'm smirking.
"Well Astraea, that was a good effort," he says while his smirk grows.
"Better then yours," I reply confidently, while Four chokes on his drink from my comment, still the same idiot I know and love.
Then Eric does something no one could've predicted. He doesn't tell me off, or look pissed. He gives a very small grin, and a shake of his head before very quickly rearranging his features back into a neutral expression. Then in what I'm beginning to realise must be typical Eric manners, he simply nods at me and walks off to the leaders table.

We finish dinner and head to bed, the entire time spent in disbelief that I said that to Eric and didn't end up over the chasm. I'm aiming to get up early and have a shower, then go get new clothes and make up from the stores I spotted on the tour yesterday, because right now, I still had my make up from this morning on, but by tomorrow I would need more. The bed is kind of uncomfortable, but I manage to fall asleep rather quickly, the excitement of the day wearing me out, although I know I'll have to figure out how to get out into the city for my runs for here at some point soon.

I've always been a naturally early riser so when I get up and look at the clock I'm not surprised to see it's only 6:09 am. I have a what I'd count as a relaxing shower under the conditions, up early enough I don't have to worry about the others being around. Letting my hair dry naturally, I pull on the clothes I selected yesterday, consisting of an extremely comfortable pair of workout tights and a lose fitting cotton tee shirt, black of course. I'm ready for when training starts later and don't have to worry so I head on my way. I go to the pit, only making one wrong turn and finding my way easily enough, and go to one of the only shops open at this time. Inside I see rows upon rows of black clothing, and at the back see a make up counter. I grab everything I need and pay for it, making sure to get any bargains I can in order to preserve my points, Dauntless's system of money, as we won't receive any more until we get our jobs at the end of initiation.

Along the way back to the dormitory to put down my new items, I run into something. I assume I'm just being my clumsy self and that I walked into a wall, but after swearing at myself, I look up to find Eric looking down at me, apparently unaffected that I just walked into him.
"Sorry, sorry," I say politely. He mumbles a hello and then continues walking. Real people person, obviously.

I eventually get to the dormitory put everything away where I can fit it. I then throw my hair up into a braided ponytail, and look at the clock. It's only 7:15, so I still have 45 minutes until training starts, so I walk to the dining hall. I decide not to be a loner, and make my way over to a table with a boy and two girls sitting there, they look young enough to be initiates too.

"Hey, I'm Astraea," I say as I slide in next to one of the girls.

"Oh, we know who you are, miss first jumper," the girl says, "I'm Marlene and that's Lynn and Uriah," she says while looking at the other two, who reply with a simple hi.

"Are you guys initiates?" I ask them.

"Yeah, Dauntless born," replies Uriah while smiling softly at me, Marlene nodding along as he answers. By the time we all have to leave for training, we are all laughing every five seconds, even Marlene who was rather reserved to begin with. We train separately to the Dauntless born, so I bid them farewell for the day.

Now the tough stuff starts.
