As I walk into the training room, I noticed that I was still early enough that only four was there. Now is the time to ask him if he's my long lost friend, I guess.
"Four? Is that your real name?" I ask confidently, but still respectfully as he's my instructor and all.
"Um... No, no it isn't. My real name is... Tobias..." Four says cautiously, and sort if awkwardly.
"Toby? It's really you?" I ask suddenly very excited.
"Yeah, Ads, it's me," Four says and looks up at me. I run up to him suddenly and hug him tightly.
"Finally! I missed you so much!" I practically yell, after letting go, although I'm a bit breathless.
"Same, it was so hard to leave you Addi, but I had to, you know, with my father and all," Toby says and pulls me into another hug.
"Just don't leave again, okay? You left me with the boring Amity crap, lucky I had Em and Alex or I would of hunted you down," I joke, sort of, I'm partially serious.
"I won't, don't worry, you always have been and always will be my best friend," Toby says and let's go of me. He walk away and continues gather equipment for today. Toby and I talk and reminisce for a bit, then other initiates walk in. I see Tris and Christina so I go over to them, saying goodbye to Toby. I'm so happy I found him, I can't even begin to explain it.
"Hey Tris, hey Chris. How'd you sleep?" I ask when I reach them.
"Good, are you nervous for today?" Tris asks me, while she fidgets nervously. I decide to try and make her feel at ease, even though I'm extremely nervous, I just hide things well.
"No, you shouldn't be either, you'll be fine."
Tobias leads us up and onto the roof, where I see targets and guns. I also see Eric, casually waiting for us.
"Today, you will learn how to shoot a gun, watch now, because this won't be repeated," Toby then starts to tell us about how to use a gun, but I already knew how to use one, not for a good reason either. Even though my father was Amity through and through, after my brother and the 'incident' he wanted me to be able to protect myself, so he bought a gun of a Dauntless, and asked the man to show me how to use it. Right now it is under my bed in the dorm, as I snuck it with me in a satchel under my skirt. I feel like a)its a good thing to have in Dauntless and b) it was from my father.
Eventually everyone walks of to start shooting so I do the same. I pick up a gun and stand in what feels like the correct position. I am expecting the force if the gun, so I hold steady, but the bullet just missed the centre. I rearrange my stance, and try again, still off. So I keep trying, because that's what I do, I always aim for more, even though most people here are lucky to hit the target.
"Your doing it wrong," I hear from next to me. I don't even have to look to know its Eric.
"Thanks, that's really helpful," I say with as much sarcasm as humanly possible. But I know he's right. I only ever got one lesson with this thing and only shot it three times until today, so something was bound to be wrong.
"Okay, you want help? Move your back foot further to the right and then turn your shoulders and hips backwards more," Eric says almost too calmly.
I move my foot first and see Eric nod in the corner of my eye. Then I attempt to move my shoulders and hips, but apparently it's still it right because I hear Eric sigh and walk behind me. He place his hands on my should and turns them surprisingly gently, then runs his hands down to my hips, and pushes them into place.
"Now aim and shoot," he says in a low voice in my ear, his hands still in my hips. I shoot and it hits dead centre.Hi guys it's Elinya here!
