Shortly after I start to talk to Em and Alex, Eric calls out for everyone to start training.
"Tris, Molly, in the ring!" Eric calls as we walk off to the punching bags. Molly is much bigger and more advanced than Tris, so I doubt this will end well for her. Molly is from Candor with an extremely ugly haircut, and unfortunately bucked teeth, she's also Peter's little minion.
Tris and Molly step into the ring and start to move around, until Tris backs all the way off the mat. C'mon Tris... She walks back up onto the mat and Molly throws a punch, with Tris avoids narrowly. Tris steps forward and tries to punch Molly, but Molly grabs her arm and twists it, then throws at punch at her. Tris falls and Molly kicks her, and takes the chance to knock her out. Hanna and I run towards her and drag her to the hospital section of Dauntless.
"Will she be okay?" I ask the lady who is attending to her injuries.
"Yes, she will be in a few hours time, she just needs to rest," the lady says without even looking at me. We thank her and walk back to training room. When we walk in Chris is on the floor with Peter looking at her mercilessly (I know it's actually Molly but idc).
"Stop, stop," Chris cries out with blood pouring from her nose.
"You need to stop? Ok let me give you hand," Eric says while extending his arm out for her.
"Ok everyone, let's have break," Eric says and guides Christina out if the room with his hand on her lower back. Ok yes, I think he's hot, but I'm not jealous of her, right now I'm just concerned for her, why is he being so nice? My fears are realised when we start to cross the chasm. Eric grabs Chris and throws her over the railing.
"You have 3 choices," he says "1. Fall and die 2. Grab the railing and hang there for 5 minutes and I'll forget your cowardice or 3. You give up and climb back over, but if you give up, you're out," Eric says with once again, no emotion.
Chris shrieks but grabs the railing while starting to sob.
"Come on Chris! You'll be fine," I yell to her and receive only another painful sob from her and a glare from Eric. Oops. The minutes seem to stretch out forever, and I can see Chris's arms shaking more and more as her fingers slip further and further, until she is only holding on with her fingertips.
"5 minutes is up," Al says in a very hostile voice to Eric.
Eric makes a show of checking his watch before finally nodding. Tris and Al run forward to help her over.
"No let her do it herself," Eric says sharply "she needs to learn a lesson".
"I'm pretty sure she's learnt her lesson already, she almost died! For one moment can you pretend you have feelings?!" I say loudly, and probably stupidly, to Eric. He looks deadly for a moment but then nods.
"Fine, help her, but you Addi are staying with me," Eric says cruelly. After everyone walks off it's just him and me, oh the joy. I can see he is clearly furious and my suspicions are proven correct.
"What makes you think you can talk to me that way?! I am your trainer, for god's sake, I'm a leader! Your leader! And you will respect me as one!" He yells, while I just stand silently, letting him fume.
"Get over the railing, now!" He yells in my face.
"No! You're not training us, you're just scaring us into submission! I thought being Dauntless was about learning to not be scared, but here you are! Your first tactic is to scare us!" I yell back to him, finally snapping.
"Do you really want to go there?! He asks me, and pushes me against the railing, holding my wrists in his hands, with his body pushed against mine, holding me there.
"You will do as I say! No matter how much Dauntless is about being fearless, I am still above you!" Eric says and grips my wrists painfully tight. For the first time, I am actually scared of him. I don't know if he would just throw me over the chasm but I don't think he would hesitate to threaten to.
"E-Eric! You're hurting me!" I say feebly. He immediately lets go of me and steps away. A shadow passes over his face and his features flicker with remorse. He looks at me rubbing my wrists one more time and turns his back and walks away quickly. I sit down and actually let a tear fall.
"Addi? Addi!" I hear a deep voice call.
"Addi, what happened? Are you okay?!" Four asks me as he sits down next to me. He pulls me into him as I cry harder.
"I-I just, I felt like it was the-the thing with m-my brother all over again!" I say while sobs rack my body. Toby stokes my hair and whispers comforting words into my ear, making me once again realise how lucky I am to have him as one of my best friends, like my brother. Eventually Toby helps me back to the dormitory and I have a warm shower. Toby tells me that he will make an excuse as to why I am not returning to training. I don't feel like lunch so I just crawl into bed and fall into a fitful sleep.

➖Eric's POV➖
""What makes you think you can talk to me that way?! I am your trainer, for god's sake, I'm a leader! Your leader! And you will respect me as one!" I hear myself yell. I don't know why, she doesn't deserve it, but I can't help it.
"No! You're not training us, you're just scaring us into submission! I thought being Dauntless was about learning to not be scared, but here you are! Your first tactic is to scare us!" Addi yells back at me. Her eyes are burning with rage. It makes me think of one of the things I read while I was in Erudite, something from before the war. 'Her eyes were flames and they lit up the world' or something like that. They were positively glowing and as angry as I was the only thing I am thinking about is how beautiful she looks right now. Stop, I need to think clearly.
"Do you really want to go there?!" I yell at her again, pushing her against the railing with my body, holding her wrists in my hands.
"You will do as I say! No matter how much Dauntless is about being fearless, I am still above you!" I yell into her face, probably scaring her from the look on her face, but for the first time, I take no joy in scaring someone.
"E-Eric! You're hurting me!" She says weakly. I immediately let go of her and take a step backwards. What have I done?! She must think I'm some sort monster. Maybe I am. I can't stand to look at her in pain any longer, but I don't know how to help her properly, so I turn on my heel and walk away quickly. What's wrong with me? I find myself walking towards the bar in the pit and ordering their strongest drink. Before I know it I'm stumbling back to apartment with about 7 drinks under my belt and a petite brunette in stilettos with too much make up hanging onto my arm. We get to my apartment and she pushes me against the wall.
"Addi," I moan into her neck.
"What? You know, I don't actually care," she girl says and tries to keep kissing me.
"But I do," I say. I realise that I don't want to go through with this. This isn't the way to cope, I can't just fuck some random while I left Addison crying and alone. God what's wrong with me?
"Out, get out!" I say to the girl while I push her towards the door.
"Ugh, my names Tanya by the way, come find me if you change your mind," she says as she walks, well stumbles, down the hall.
"Don't worry, I won't!" I yell to her with the last of my energy before collapsing onto the couch in my living room not being able to walk another step to the bed. I should go see if Addi's okay, but I can't make my legs co-operate with my brain.

Hey guys omg this is actually kinda long (for me)! They got a scene together! I can't wait to be able to write more about them. Who wants to know what happened to her and her brother that affects her so much?! I already know what I want it to have been, but I just need to find a perfect place to fit it into the story. Eric's POV how good is it! I really like writing his POV, do you guys? Anyway, enjoy!
